Yeah, I watched a bunch of golf channel instruction, too, along with a bunch of books, etc. A lot of them stress that the first move down should be a lateral shift of the hips, aka “recentering”. Always caused me a bunch of problems with inconsistency in my swing.

Porzak teaches bumping the hips at setup to get more of a reverse K look to eliminate the need for the lateral shift. Simplified the swing quite a bit for me.

I tried to embed a video, but somehow it didn’t work. Just search for “Porzak setup” on youtube.

When my wife was in an all girl league, the swing thought suggested to her from lady with a 5 HC was "Punch Pussy".

My daughter has now collected enough ProV1s to have another sale.

Most of these appear to be a “hit once and lost” variety. Half of them likely hit my house.

Anyone interested PM me. $36 for 3 dozen and $17 for USPS flat rate box for a total of $53 (CONUS)

You could order more and I can get a custom shipping quote. Typically, the more you buy the less it costs per ball to ship.

So rescued a childs bag and club set from the recycling center.
Prior to donating it to the course I figured I'd see if there were any balls that I would want
in the bag. Open it up and there's $20. Score !

Wait until you miss a less than 2 footer in a tourney. You think they are easy make them everytime you have them. Do not ever let someone give you a gimmie unless they are like 3 inches. You need the fortitude for tourney days.

Ski, you live near the course?
I’m planning to head up for couple rounds before the tournament.
Let me know if you can come out and play!

    I’ll take all the Bridgestone’s , you (54) know
which ones are the good ones. Unless you’re using those. Oh, woolly’s 78 mph driver swing speed doesn’t need pro v’s, send him the noodles and chrome softs.

I might be the oldest among ex college golfers and highest handicapper but I’ll get to taste a little bit of real competition.
    Very excited about it!

Hey! I resemble that remark. I like the feel of the Pro for putting and chipping plus I can move them left or right when I punch out from the trees. Shot of the week last week wasn't a drive. It was an escape from 6" to the right side of a tree I used a backwards 6I to hit a left handed shot that moved right to left for 50 yds and onto the green. A shot I've hit before. Actually it was a recovery from a botched recovery after a botched 2nd shot that led to a 7.

Hah! I’ve been playing the Bridgestones (E12 Softs are underrated, don’t see as many RX/S as I’d like). Will see about extras. Sent a bunch of TM TP5s to my Cuz. Not many Chrome Softs; a lot of Super Softs….

FWIW I have switched from ProV1x to Maxfli Tour X. Indistinguishable numbers on Trackman over multiple days testing, same feel, and $120 for four dozen. Just a little more than half the cost of the ProV's....oh, and they are more durable too.

I've normally have an assortment of OPB's (Other Peoples Balls) in the bag. With a bag full of ProV1's, if I started wearing a glove , get golf shoes and some sheer tight white pants with a $200 belt, I'd look like a pro. If you can't be good, you should look good. I'd look marvelous.

Regrip the Titleists and you're good. Find a couple year old hybrid or two, a fairway metal, and a driver. I love my titleist Driver, metals, and hybrids. 7 woods are quite popular now.

I've been working to get my swing back. I wasn't connected to my turn and using too much arm. North Ridge is in great shape. It's a tough course.

Interesting what I'm hearing here is the same thing I was talking with 2 of my brothers about last week. Our distance is down and our swings have deteriorated. We concluded we're taking the club back with a good shoulder turn and then reaching for more with our arms and ruining the mechanicals needed max club head speed resulting is loss of distance. If it feels like a full swing it's long and wrong. If it feels like a 3/4 back swing it's right to take flight. I'm taking my new old swing out on Tuesday. Hoping to transfer from my great 3/4 punch pussy swing at pine cones from the back yard out onto the links.

Shot my best round ever the other day, a 75 at my home course. I had shot 76 a few times at other places but even after 50ish rounds at my home course, I'd never broken 80 there. It feels really good to get that monkey off my back and I sense a big number coming on my next round. Dumbest game. I love it.

    Nice work

Stoner news of the week...the last round I played my rangefinder kept fogging up and it was driving me crazy...could barely see through it. Was on hole 13 when I figured out it was just out of focus.
If it's green, smoke it...if it's pink, poke it

The cold, rainy weather pattern that we’ve been in the last few weeks finally broke and we had a simply gorgeous day. The kind that was just made for golfing.
