Cool place to spend some time with the in-law fam and see how they do it.

I'm trying to find the affordable mountain town thread now.

Went spring skiing today with only half the mountain open.

My understanding is that there's a cute little town called "Stowe" with super affordable housing and a nice little Hill just up the road a wee bit.

I think you spelled "Corinth" incorrectly.

Congrats dude! If you figure it out let me know

Stowe sounds intriguing. Do they have good affordable soup?

Hancock, Granville or Rochester? Said seriously. Easy access to Sugarbush, MRG, the shitty Bowl, Pico and Killington (where all the kool kidz hang out).

Unfortunately you need to buy a soup pass in order to sample soup at Stowe and I missed the deadline.

Pro Tip - the soup pass doesn't guarantee that they will have the flavor of soup you like.

Rochester is in VT and yes, they will tax your pension, your social security and anything else they can get their grimy hands on.

A few of us have got it figured out...strawjack, powbmps, buttah, savemeasammy (and me) all live east of the CT River. Don't believe the BS that property taxes in NH are higher than they are in VT. They're not unless you live in one of the Boston bedroom communities. The condo I owned in Essex Jct (VT) was appraised at $325K. We didn't own the building or any land. Annual property taxes north of $8K. Lakefront property in SW NH (50' of lakefront on a pristine lake) appraised at $425K (pre-COVID). Annual property taxes just north of $5K. No income tax, no sales tax, no can deposit.

No concerns about the local school district. [emoji6]

Bashed around the Catamount Trail and in the woods at CHNSA this afternoon. Another beauty of an afternoon. The Tedster rocking Johnson Woolens and leather boots.

100% open and a good firm base everywhere. Just need some snow now to top it off. We’re ready for the big finish coming sometime this season right?!

Blue bird sunshine on the sun mountain turned fast and firm into soft and carvable, even a little peel away corn, x2 days. Expectations exceeded. Happily it also got my better half out for our first ski in 2 years post-health challenges.

Yes, a little early in season for spring type conditions but with this winter I will take what it gives.

    Skiing is fun.

Sometimes I come back to check the ECRC to see what I am missing but it's mostly like not being able to look away from a bad accident.

Speaking of Smuggs I see vtski posted a vid "skiing" Back Hole the other day

Peruvian texted updates on his trip including cars off 89 but didn't tell us how close he came to A Drummonds 4 minute descent earlier this week.

Avi reports and Observations were looking great this week until yesterdays wind fucked it up. That and the incoming shit means back to reset.

This shot snagged from a GG 2/07 obs report, looked promising

A little late to the party here, ha, but that's not me (I'm all lowercase) and haven't rocked a gopro pretty much ever
