You're right. I guess I was just pissed that they tossed Bernie to the curb for doing the one thing that the NFL, all sports franchises and anyone with a pulse has been doing this last week in Ohio as they rolled out legalized sports gambling.

NFL: Hey fans, make sure to up your game experience with the only league-approved betting app Caesarbarstoolballysgamblingaddiction.com!

Bernie: I'll bet $100 that the Browns win and give all proceeds to charity please!

Browns: You're fucking fired for violating team policy on gambling.

    WTF?

But yeah, at the top of the list I may have to put the Watson trade, or maybe Johnny Manziel, but there's really so much to choose from.

Come on. It was $19,000 for charity. Giving 19 grand to charity is way worse than giving a hundred bucks.

    Lol.

Poor Bernie. The man has truly given his brain, body and life to the organization and this is the best they can do?

Just dropping in to cry a little. I'm a lifelong bills fan and never in my life have I been more sure that they will not win a superbowl in my lifetime.

^ I was texting a friend who was at the Miami game last weekend and we agreed this was gonna end this weekend based on the Miami performance. The team looked tired and old yesterday.
They can't tackle when they're not tired. Other teams make 1 v 1 tackles. The Bills always need 3-4 guys to bring someone down. The offense was putrid yesterday, but the defense was putrid-er.

Welcome Uplakes friends. This is a safe space.

I was pulling for you yesterday and it seemed like pre-game everything was lining up in the Bills' favor.

At least the snow was pretty.

And you don't have a sexual deviant representing your franchise.

I agree. Disappointing result for the Bills. Have we checked Josh Allen for color blindness?

And yeah, at least he doesn't have 647 lawsuits against him.

What has been painfully evident all year is that the roster isn't nearly talented enough. Not a single bills skill player would start for cincy. Diggs is the stud and would be the 3rd receiving option. Singletary and cooks and the rest of the receivers wouldn't even make the active roster, and the lines are like pac12 vs sec.

The franchise is pretending that this is the window, but beating cincy would require a complete rebuild. And although JA pulls off some exciting stuff at times, he just isnt very bright. But as pointed out, at least he isn't a sexual predator (as far as we know).

The Factory of Sadness Era is over!

(not really, but at least the name will be better)

Disgraced public utility corporation First Energy and the Browns today agreed to mutually terminate the $100MM naming rights deal for the stadium, and from hence forth, the name shall be returned to its former glory as "Cleveland Browns Stadium", that is, until they sell the rights to some other entity charged with a $1.3B scandal.

Yeah, it's gonna take more than that to change the colloquial name...

You're not wrong. I think this is the name that's going to stick for a while though. First Energy needs to clean up its own name, and it's best to do that by getting it out of everyone's face by removing it from the side of a large building.

Then again, I can't imagine many companies lining up to have their brand attached to the Deshaun Watson-led Browns either.

Looking forward to catching some games from "Joe's Septic and Plumbing Stadium" this fall.

Maybe we should just call it the Titanic. The Edmund Fitzgerald fits better but that seems disrespectful to the 29 lost men.

No, yeah, I like where your head’s at though. While calling the stadium The ‘Fitz (esp given there’s a lake freighter parked right next to it) would be pretty cool, much of that crew hailed from Cleveland so probably not good.

What was the name of the British ship(s) Commodore Hazard Perry sunk in the Battle of Lake Erie? That could work; it’s still a sinking ship and only the Brits would get offended.

Admiral Perry was Captain of the Lawrence and then moved over to the Niagara when that was disabled in the Battle to continue fighting and win the Battle of Lake Erie over the English. Don't Give Up the Ship...

So Lawrence Stadium?? or Flagship Lawrence Stadium maybe.

I liked this school of thought so I looked it up. There was actually a British ship named Detroit. And calling the Browns stadium “Detroit” after a sunken British battleship is hilarious … expect none of the British fleet actually sank.

So I’m just gonna call it Hindenburg Stadium. Pithy.

There was 1 ship named Detroit (English Navy name) HMS Detroit was a captured US ship- Adams and then is was recaptured by the Americans and eventually run aground in the Niagara River and burned so it could not be recaptured. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Detroit_(1813)

Extra bonus points for naming it after maybe the only NFL franchise with a worse run than Cleveland

Cleveland Browns Stadium has a nice ring to it. Why all the hate. It's a great name. Go Browns!
