Hope y’all got up there and got after it! Friend called from Ned right after canyon closure. Wishing I could’ve made it

I hit it yesterday morning for quick kiddo session. A rare no wind day. Twas nice.

I got up there with one of my kids and we had a lot of fun. Jolly Jug Glades skied great! I have an 11 year old and a 16 year old exchange student if anyone wants to do any kid skiing.

I did get stuck behind that wreck in the canyon and it was a mess of 4-5 vehicles and the bus. No one looked hurt.

Had no idea there was a canyon closure, pulled into the lot around 7am. Had to work most of my time there, but did get out for a little bit. Nice to see more stuff open, hit a lot too.

    Same program for me tomorrow.

Has Eldora been running out of parking recently? If I recall they have new lots and single driver cars now pay $10.

Isn’t the single driver payment only on “powder” days and weekends?

    Yup.

But there is a TGR text carpool. PM Danno or tang or me to get on it.

I can't answer re whether they have been running out of parking, because I get up here around 7am.

Yes, they have a new lot and expanded the main lot a little. They do charge SOVs $10 on weekends, holidays, and powder days (I think that's defined by forecast of 10" or more). They do not appear to want to provide a list of the holidays that require the $10 fee, but this week it is in place.

They do run a shuttle from the justice center on weekends/holidays, I took it the other day because I didn't want to pay $10 and it was fairly easy and convenient.

I know Eldora gets ragged on quite a bit but it delivered today. It has its place.

West glade was really good, thin down low. Jolly Jug Glade was too. You still need to be careful in the trees or you might end your season.

Minimal lift lines, easy traffic. Dense snow in a good way. I skied non-stop 8:30-12:00 and am glad I didn’t battle I70 for another ikon resort. Worth the $10 for solo parking but it would get old to pay on a weekly basis.

Ha, I was up there too, and also skied hard from 830-1200. Third person down Wolf Tongue and numerous untracked lines (with good coverage) in Brian and Gully Glades. Finished with a bunch of Jolly Jug at the end with my kid's team. It wasn't an epic day or anything, but it was damn good.

Pro tip: get there before 7 am and there is nobody stopping you from parking up front.

Looks like Westridge is open, anyone ski it, yet? I'm heading up later this morning to see.

It's been open for a while but I haven't been out there yet. Brian and Gully were really nice, though.

West Ridge was just OK. They had it roped about half way and it funneled you through the trees back to Corona. Brian's Glades wasn't bad. Gully was good. It was snowing when I left. It needs it.

Absolutely. Though it clearly won’t be long before your kids are looking to ditch us!

    Laps this year for sure.

Was up there riding around with my son and his buddy too. Nice sunny day!

I appreciate whoever runs the music outside IP dropping the 30 min Dark Star around 9.

Ehhhh what’s the latest on the Corona chair electrical issue?

My cousin bought a ticket for tomorrow and having that chair down would be quite a bummer. No thanks on the hike out nonsense.
