Add in very old to the front of Homeless and that describes me as well.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Could be worse. My beard makes me look like Santa Claus. The alternative is worser though, so I choose the Santa look

    Same. Still beats shaving.

Anyone seen the new Prius? Legitimately good looking vehicle.

In the same boat as well. Couldn't grow a beard until about 30 and even then, not a great one. And it revealed that I secretly have some ginger dna from the O'Reilly branch of the family.

Hah, talking about looking homeless, I have been growing out my hair for awhile and if not in a pony tail it often looks like a scraggly mess
However, I did grow a great biker mustache, but no beard. Not into those.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Daughter is anxiously waiting for me my beard to go fully grey/white so I can properly play Santa for her. I need a bit of a trim, but my straight razor, which I keep very well maintained still, hasn’t touched my face skin since fall 2019. Might not be in use for several more. Wife hasn’t complained about my whiskers other than to say I need a bit of a trim, which I acknowledge. Hair above the lip gets regular attention though.

Couldn’t grow a proper full beard until my early 30’s, so some of you need not despair, yet.

On a different topic that has "maybe" been covered before.

What is it with the Drag Queen shows these days and more to the point, Drag Queens reading stories to kids? Has this always been a thing or is it now a way to get the bigots to reveal themselves? Cause it seems to work. You can always count on liver lips Chaffetz.

Anyone who has watched the Stanley Cup playoffs knows that some people shouldn't grow beards. I'm talking about you Sidney Crosby, and you Logan Couture. And all of you Swedes.

It’s the outrage flavor of the month on Fox News. Nothing new about drag brunches, I went to one circa 2007 or so.

I watched Soupy Sales portray his girlfriend Peaches in drag as a kid. It didn't hurt me. A little gender confusion is a good thing.

I drove a 2019 one around Japan as a company car for a while. Surprisingly nice to drive except one major issue-- visibility was horrible, making parking a bitch.

Thankfully evolutions of that hybrid tech is available in other vehicles. It was originally designed by Honda, by the way. The Insight. Toyota just mastered the marketing.

Also-- didn't Toyota form a relationship of some sort with Tesla, for their batteries (Panasonic)? I'm curious what they're going to release.

My RAV4 gets close to 40 mpg around town with snows on. So much better than a Prius for very little drop off in fuel efficiency.

    And way less dork factor

I don’t have any interest in buying one, but I’d say the new Prius look genuinely not-dorky.

Yeah, but my dork-box toaster AWD Suzuki gets closer to 60. Slow as fuck, though. Almost painful. I hate driving it but I love barely paying for it.

Nothing like my Honda Minivan, which has no business being called a minivan. Thing shreds. Turbo VTEC, AWD. Paddle shifting. I drift that thing. Contemplating a chip tuner for the turbo but am scared I’ll blow up the engine.

    N+1. Assuming your lifestyle varies.

There are like 18 cars I want right now. What a time to be alive. I wanna sell both my cars. I have car FOMO. I want it all.

Can you imagine when this climb-in-technology plateaus again and we have like 3 options for cool shit? All robots.

It’ll be like the 90’s again. What do you want, a slalom ski or a GS ski?

Does anybody feel like they get colder the older they get?

My fucking feet are always cold skiing, never used to be, and that's just the start!

It all started when they took my appendix out six years ago; go figure.

Yep. I still have my appendix, but the rest... I now have hotronics heated socks. And my regular resort jacket is now a puffy. And those burly mittens that I used to only pull out on the coldest days? They're my regular pair now. And sometimes I wear thin liner gloves inside them.

    Beats not skiing.

I switched full time to mittens 3 seasons ago... I started wearing another base layer last season. Is it the beginning of the end?

Yup. Kei and hybrid. The best of both shitty worlds. Underpowered, hybrid, tiny, cheap. As a second car, it basically pays for itself.

    Cold showers, dude.

I did that whole Wim Hof course several years back, and while that may be a humbling admission, I haven’t had a warm shower in seven years.

It’s like lifting weights. Or running. You can train your body to adapt to the environment. Daily cold water exposure trains your circulatory system.

Cold water is addicting, but it still sucks every morning. After seven years, I still hate entering cold water. But I’m fine within 3 seconds. And within ten seconds it feels good. And by the time my shower is finishing, I’m trying to stay. And yes, this is winter. Ground water is near freezing. Feels like needles.

But, I’m not really cold anymore. I still wear normal insulating layers like any human, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I can feel the benefits of cold water training. That would be like a runner saying running isn’t easier after doing it daily for years.

Cold water is actually the most brutal type of training I have ever done. Three minutes in an ice bath feels like an hour of hiking. Exhausting.

I’ve noticed my hands get cold now in conditions and gloves where they never used to. I blame deteriorating circulation.

^^^ I blame repeated frost nip for that reduction in circulation. I have 1 finger that I have damaged enough that it is noticeably cooler than the adjacent digits.
