What happens if a third party seller on Amazon refuses to issue a refund for a returned item? I returned something in new, unused condition, in the same packaging as delivered to me, and the seller claims it was returned in unsellable condition.

I contacted Amazon via chat, and they contacted the seller on this too.

Is this (hopefully) one of those situations where Amazon tends to side with the buyer?

I would think so. If the seller won’t budge, and Amazon doesn’t help, I’d call your CC company and have them charge it back.

IME amazon usually sides with the buyer even when they are the seller. We have some books that are going to be over a week late when/if they arrive, and they've already notified me of a potential refund.

What I hear from the couple friends of mine who are Amazon sellers is that they always get raped when a buyer wants to return something for any reason.

I have a claim pending through Amazon's "A to Z" guarantee. It's supposed to take a couple of days.

The seller on this sent a refund of $0.01, saying returned item was unsellable due to condition. I shipped it back in the same packaging they sent it to me. It's a pellet stove flue cap that didn't fit as described - a piece of sheet metal, not something delicate or where the surface finish needs to be pristine.

as long as it says "returns accepted'' you should be good. Everyone should know this, but we have to check for that disclaimer before buying anything...or you may just be buying troll bait

Left seller a scathing review. Within 12 hours, seller gave full refund, asking me to remove the review.

Amazon closed the A to Z Guarantee dispute because refund was given - it's in my account now.

I'm leaving the bad review.

Seems like it. Youtube and IG, hell even news feeds seem full of clips of random people going off on someone usually with no explanation or context given.

There are a few awesome burls in a park in Ridgefield CT with signs on them warning people off. One of them is easily that big and probably worth hundreds (at least).
