    Lol.
I've heard Robert Earl Keen play "Merry Christmas From the Family" in August a couple of times. People seem to want to hear it. In case anyone here wants to hear it--

Yeah, but not everyone in Lansing is a lib.

He’s alienated a decent part of his customer base. I don’t understand small biz expressing politics.

I think big/small market is more important here than big/small business. Lansing is a good sized town, he couldn’t fix everybody’s HVAC in his market if he wanted to. I bet he can still stay busy and not worry too much about the gun nuts, anti-science wackos, and bigots who don’t want to patronize his business.
    focus.

Strong point. Political expression is what big business does. Unfortunately, he'll probably have to give a SH*T if he wants to get as big as Fox.

The sign is funny--why can't we leave it at that? Besides, if your AC breaks in the middle of the summer (funny that it never breaks in the winter) you can't afford to give a shit about the politics of the guy who fixes it--if you can find anyone who can come in the next 3 weeks.

    The advert is funny.

And good point if he’s a two man operation then why not give any fucks.

And yes, he is intentionally selecting clientele that agree with him.

But if I publicly said faux news drumpf and Limbaugh suck, I’d lose all the right wing Uber wealthy homeowners. And it would hurt my biz. Granted there’s plenty of Uber wealthy lefties. Probably 60% or more.

The ultrawealthy have their own people to fix things. I knew a guy whose sole job was fixing stuff in a rich guy's house--mostly his 5K Japanese shitters, as I've posted before. The rest of us hope the repairman calls us back and if we're lucky enough to get an appointment, that they show up.

I requested a new heat pump system at the end of February.
The old electric furnace installed in 1983 just doesn't cut it.
I've just been notified that they might be able to get it in by August 20th.

At least it's been the coolest, damp spring and early summer I can remember.

The nearly 40 year olds who occasionally stay at the usually empty house two houses over show up for the weekend and immediately start playing beer pong, Just like they did 20 years ago. This is a married couple we're talking about--sometimes with friends sometimes just themselves.

Amusing and very scary--watching a woman ripping a short, very badly twisted board--down to 3 in wide, splitter but no guard, no push stick. At least it was a Saw Stop so all she had to worry about was a face full of board and a couple hundred bucks to replace the blade and brake. She survived it. I sent her over to the bandsaw to do the next rip.

Also, amusing but not at all scary--the street names in my kids LV subdivision--Wandering Violets, Ivy Spring, Love Orchid, Paseo Mist, Paseo Breeze, Luna del Mar. Maybe the developer thought that when it's 115F and the tap is dry because there's no water left in Lake Mead the street names will make everyone feel better. Actually, the thought of what happens when Lake Mead dries up is pretty scary--Katrina level disaster, just in a slower time frame.

It’s also amusing how they always use that specific “look back” pose

Why are you capitalizing uber? That’s amusing, rich folks augmenting their income by driving people around. If some of those words are too big for you shoot me a pm

Autocorrect caps uber for me. And only a grade C on your burn.

And I don’t feel exactly amused by that avalanche - more of a holy fuck, glad I’m not there.

RV towing Jeep towing boat. Maybe legit? Montana. But probably not ideal setup judging from the sway going on. I still salute you all the same Mr or Mrs Ambition!
