Oh this one is early yet. Could be a simple shitshow, could be a full on shitstorm, might be the mother of all shit tornados. We shall see.

Like I’ve said before, this is fun for all you rubberneckers, right? So fun. Like watching an F1 car wreck. Pile ups everywhere. Here we go! ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?!

    We are certainly entertained.

Wish the subject of the entertainment wasn't a sexual predator, but...

This one looks pretty black. But it is the NFL, I could see them slapping a 4 game suspension on him and calling it good enough.

How many did Ray Lewis get?

    Big Ben?

    I honestly can’t recall.

I’m getting more of a Trevor Bauer vibe out of this one, personally.

All we need now is for Deshaun to take a liking to Emily and I'm 100% in on the eventual 30 for 30 that comes of this.

Rub-n-tug massages are one of the few things the players and owners agree on. Expect non-prosecution to be added into the next CBA

I think Dustin Johnson has already made a move on her.

Bob Kraft has been awfully silent on all this now that I think about it.

the leagues conundrum with deshaun Watson is the same they have with Dan Snyder- no problem with how shitty he is, just that they are making the league look bad.

Sounds like the Browns were expecting the 23rd lawsuit (can’t believe I’m even writing that), but we’re NOT expecting the 24th, so they are now wondering if Watson has been honest with them

Protect the shield is the only hard and fast rule in the NFL.

    I can't believe I'm even reading that.

From what it sounds like now, the Texans may have played a role in assisting Watson in his alleged misconduct and that was not shared with the Browns. If I'm the Browns I'm running to the Commissioner's office yesterday to find a way out of this any way that I can.

I'm also sending a plane with Andrew Berry, Kevin Stefanski, Bernie Kosar, Jim Brown and suitcases full of cash to Austin to beg Baker to show up to camp next week.

The latest idea out of the brain trust is to "trade a problem child for someone else's problem child".

I understand that to mean a straight-up Baker for Sam Darnold trade.

    Just no.

ETA: looks like Baker and the Browns have mutually agreed to stay away from each other for now:

"BEREA, Ohio -- The Browns have excused quarterback Baker Mayfield from next week’s mandatory in a mutual decision, the team announced on Wednesday afternoon. Cleveland and Mayfield reaching this mutual decision is very similar to the 49ers excusing Jimmy Garoppolo from their mandatory minicamp this week. Both quarterbacks are rehabbing shoulder surgeries, and both have been replaced as the starter, Mayfield by Deshaun Watson and Garoppolo by Trey Lance. Both are also on the trading block and neither has any idea where he’ll be in 2022."

So much for my hashtag activism to #bringbackBaker, it looks like the Browns are just gonna gut this whole mess out and hope that they get at least 4 years out of Watson.

Tebow is the right kind of energy this team could use this week.

I wonder if the fact that the Texans hid that they protected Watson could allow the Browns to void the trade? They'd still have no QB, but they'd at least get the future draft picks back.

Also, it truly sucks to be a Browns fan right now. I mean, like, more than normal. And normal is a lot.

-Browns hire Tebow as QB coach/spiritual guide
-They make Watson and Tebow live together in a small condo. Whole place wired with cameras and mics by NFL Films

I'm curious to know why the Browns would fully guarantee his contract knowing he'll be suspended for at least 6 games with a bunch of other accusations in the woodwork. I'm starting to wonder if he'll see the field at all in 2022. My guess is the GM should be looking for a new place to work.

The guaranteed money is why he’s in Cleveland and not Atlanta.

My understanding, which is supported by how the first year of his contract is structured at only $1 million, is that the Browns counted on him being unavailable for up to the entire 2022 season. If that’s correct in their minds they have four years of Deshaun Watson and a window of opportunity to win a Super Bowl, and apparently that math works for them.

What they did not foresee, or it was intentionally withheld from them by Houston, is how Houston took steps to protect Watson and arrange for all these other massages, and the possibility of anything more than 22 lawsuits. (typing that out just makes it all sound so ridiculously stupid)

They had better hope that their attorneys drafted sufficient outs within his contract. At the very least they should be in the commissioners office right now finding a way to get out of this at any cost – it’s good for them and the league.

This could actually turn into a very big deal. There are team disclosure rules in the CBA when it comes to trades.

I don't think I'm alone in hoping this is the case. Void trade, keep Baker or get Jimmy G.

    Move the fuck on.

Void the trade because of lawsuit 23 and 24, but not 1-22? Lol

Browns knew EXACTLY what they signed up for. Fuck ‘em

Yeah, cause everyone knew about 1-22 and had structured the business deal around that due diligence. The Browns, Texans, Watson and the League had to sign off on the deal.

As impossible as it may be, take Watson's shitbag behavior out of it, 9-figure deals get avoided, adjusted, or offset all the time for a breach of a party's representations and warranties (especially if the rep is deemed "fundimental" as the number and amount of accusers/cases would likely be in this case). I may know shit about what actually happened with Watson, the League, the Texans' or the Browns' diligence in this matter, but its my job to structure deals with that many commas in the purchase price; if Watson and/or the Texans withheld material information, or breached their reps, then you can bet your ass the Haslam's attorneys in Nashville are drafting termination language right now.
