I think a big factor could be Feuz’s height - he’s only 5’8”, so he’s never going to be lean AND heavy like a lot of the 6’-6’5 guys he’s skiing against.

Power focused workout and frame for speed events.. Agility focused workout and frame for tech events. Vonn was Power/center,, Shiffrin's agility/center. Specialists go one or the other..

But back to Shiffrin. Sincere apologies for the thread jack.. She's got it dialed very well for her focus.

Her slalom is just off this season. 8th today and 9th last week. That’s unheard of for MS. Maybe she just dialed it back today since she won the overall already and had nothing to gain. She can technically still win the GA globe tomorrow, will be curious if she has better results.

She dialed it back on the second runs of both SL and GS. She said that the spring conditions were not favorable; code for “I don’t want to get injured in the last couple races of the season when I have already secured the Big Crystal.”

As far as SL being off. Sure a look at her last 20 races have a pair of DNFs and the 8th and 9th, but there are still more podiums than not. She also finished 2nd for the season.
