Well, I'm wondering if that's exactly what's going to happen, someone bought it to flip it.

Took Inga in today for the 210k service and asked them to check out a few wonky issues. Lots to fix, but for $1k out the door I will take it, as it could of been worse on a 2006 V70R.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

That is more than likely the case. Makes me sad because I would've loved her long time. Was planning to daily drive the hell out of it, racking up another couple hundred thousand miles on it. Garaging it and keeping it as perfect as possible. Giving the ol' girl the home she deserved. But nope. Prolly just went to some asshole car flipper.

Hi, this is a reminder that hackers have been getting into accounts with stsle old passwords and causing mayhem scamming people in gear swap.

Update your passwords, be wary in gear swap, report suspect activity!

Seriously. Even if something needs to be fixed, it's not a bad deal.

Jesus that makes me feel like the 1999 Outback I sold for 2400 a couple year ago was some sort of deal.

Luck came my way and I'm getting a coworkers 2005 Escape Limited gifted to me and can now discharge my 2005 Outback. Curious what you guys think on pricing?

2005 Outback 2.5i, 204k miles, runs and drives like a [grumpy] champ everyday. But: interior and exterior are Fair with scratches (no real damage). Windshield is cracked AF, head gasket leaking (dash light city), one torn cv boot.

Do I shoot high and post for $2000 and hope for $1500??? Anyone seen a beat up car like this go for more than $2k recently?

Keep an eye on the transmission on the Escape. We had four as fleet vehicles, they all had major transmission problems. Two were totaled out as a result.

Yeah, I'd read that. It's at 180k and I know both the owners; I'll check in and see if anything's happened in the past. As long as it can get me another 6-12mo on the road, I'll be happy!

If someone hands you $1k take it and be happy. You might get $1500 because it runs and they don't have to tow it away.

If you can tie the ownership tree to a famous celebrity or sports figure such things can drive the value higher.

If you don't mind being a bit dishonest, something less traceable like "one time I gave Michael Jackson and his monkey Bubbles a lift in it to the pharmacy for more propofol" might work.

Don’t be silly, it was just regular old OxyContin.

Don’t want to get his ad pulled and all for being misleading.

Have you not been following this thread? When it comes to beat up high mileage Subarus on CL, you can be like "$5K. Firm. Has minor scuffs in windshield but those will easily buff out. Runs perfect. No mechanical problems. No lowballers. I know what I got."

I'm getting closer to action. Drove a 2014 Merc e550 4matic the other day. What a nice car that was! Holy shit it was nice. Blows cold air up your butt and massages your back at the same time, all while delivering 400+hp from a twin turbo v8. Nice car. But. Felt so big and heavy. Fast, but felt big and heavy. I think i liked the older E55 AMG with the supercharged v8 better.
Gonna go drive another E55 tomorrow.

I wanna be a baller, but I don't know if I got the game. But I like that energy.

Actually - I'm just not used to having the upper hand in the cheap used car sales experience.

When it comes to Mercedes, you just have to reframe what you expect of the vehicle. I like to think of e550's as brawler cruisers. Accept them for what they actually are and you could be quite happy. Expecting a lightweight, nimble M1 track fighter and you might be disappointed. I could def do an E class Merc. Get to highway speeds like you're Han Solo and Chewbacca going into hyperdrive, then toss it in cruise control and enjoy the ride like a pimp in an old Cadillac Brougham D'Elegance. Will soak up those miles in style. Then when you want to pass, drop the hammer and say buh-bye to slow ass left lane campers.

Yep. Pretty much. The e55 still feels heavy, but the drivetrain is simpler than the e550, and i like the feel better. There are many that have gone high 1xx,xxx miles seemingly without a lot of issues beyond the occasional airmatic strut. Couple other issues including fuel pump relay and sbc brake system. But the extended warranty on SBC is 25year unlimited miles, and many have already had the replacement done for both issues.
I also think it is a better looking car. Should be an excellent cruise missile of a commuter.

Look at you trying to find a cruise missile when we're all busy trying to find a Scud missile for Austin.

If you get there and it's got an AMG shift knob and a trunk full of dirty gyro wrappers, please take a picture for us.

Haha. Even a SCUD's too rich for my blood. I'm more in the category of third world RPG.
