I doubt that MAC group warning applied to AK. For one thing, there are hardly ever caterers there. In my day (probably similar now), you brought 3 days of MREs or pre-packaged foods (the jumpers put together their own) with you on IA (initial attack), then you got ‘fresh food boxes’ every three days with things like steaks, ham, hot dogs, veggies, soups, cereals, bread, pb&j, fruit, etc. All cooked over campfires, sometimes by the ‘camp bitch’ that stayed in to cook, make camp livable, protect the food, etc.
