    Doubtful.
I’ve always wondered about this…if I took the sports I was good at and dedicated the time a serious D1 and pro athlete does to a sport, how far could I make it. I’m going out on a limb and saying I for sure could make the Kazakstan national hockey team back in the day.

i remember a friend who rowed telling me about some lady who started rowing in her mid to late 20s and decided she was gonna dedicate as much time to it as she could. pretty sure she ended up on team USA or won some sort of national championship.

That's a bummer. They should have given them a shot, sub-50 for ladies is nothing to shake a stick at. My reference was to her little interview stating how she's so proud to represent the people of Hungary, by living in Manhattan and doing the bare minimum to qualify for Olympic halfpipe for a country she has n real affiliation with just to say she did it. It trivializes the effort and dedication every other person had just to get there.

Easy plan: Capture killer rat (72% chance of success) and release against elephant to chase away.

How would that even work? Would an elephant even notice a human? Let's say you walked up to an elephant and punched right in the trunk...as hard as you could. Would it even hurt it...or would it be like me being bit by a mosquito?

I'm also curious about how one would get in a fight with an eagle? And if we're talking bald eagles, I think many people don't understand the size of a bald eagle....much less their beak and talons. I went to a bald eagle presentation once. I was in the front row; I was a bit nervous just being that close...they are GIANT TERROR MACHINES!
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I had to chase a Bald eagle down to rescue it not long ago. Luckily it got caught up in a sheep fence and I was able to tackle it and get hold of it's legs before it could get its claws into the game. No way would I ever do that with a Canada goose.

That beak will shred you. And the 3" talons are like blades.

Go ice fishing in Maine and leave your fish out on the ice in plain sight. Eagle will certainly come for you.

I interviewed my friend Jenny Stillo on my podcast, she nordic raced for Honduras in Albertville- still the only female winter athlete from Honduras in the Olympics. Kind of a cool story. She came to Gunnison to go to Western, and got into nordorking. She did well in a regional race series so 9News did a piece on her. And for some weird reason, Honduras carries 9News as the ABC affiliate or whatever. You would think it would be LA or NY, but nope, Denver. So someone on their Olympic committee sees it and asks her if she'd compete in the Olympics for Honduras. https://crestedbutterealestateagent....of-the-camino/

On another note, I've got a buddy out of Nova Scotia who has been paid by the canadian government to shoot bald eagles that disrupt the fisheries there. He's a dual citizen, so kind of a mixed bag for him, getting paid to legally kill bald eagles.
