Rules for thee and not for me, and all that. Ya know?
What a strange response. If you have zero concern over Obama's party why are you posting about it? I didn't even know the dude was having a party...that's having "zero" concern over it.

As others have said, I take your response about CNN as meaning that you think Abbott didn't ask for help from other states, that the COVID numbers are not what are being reported, and everything out of various media sources is not true on this matter. is that your position?
Damn shame, throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that

    Exactly.

But also, video evidence of how the same few posters of trumptard / vaccine disinfo get dismantled around here:

To Vaccinate or Not---The Rat Flu Odyssey Continues

Three of the Texans in this photo died doing what they love.

(Apparently they loved dying in a coma while on a ventilator as their lungs drowned in fluid and a nurse held up an iPad so their kids could say goodbye. Freedumb isn’t free.)

But hey - look on the bright side - if someone can find a CNN headline about this then that will magically mean it never happened or at least wasn’t so bad - maybe they can be brought back to life?

Corrected: they were prominent Republican Libertarians. Which is poliass so I left that part out. The point is that CNN did report on it - so we don’t have to believe it.

But their leaders maybe need to be held accountable? Withholding aid would punish both.

But does the mismanagement of the leaders need to be ignored in order to render aid? I'd argue you could help the citizens while at the same time showing them how their elected officials helped get them in the situation where they needed this assistance. This goes for political leaders of all stripes - it's just that some leaders tend to be requesting aid while at the same time downplaying covid as a threat - that hypocrisy is blatant.
The politicians have gerrymandered accountability out of the equation.

WASHINGTON (NewsNation Now) — Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is once again suspended from Twitter after she said the COVID-19 vaccines were “failing.”

Choking on Big Macs? Seriously. It is no coincidence that the political people you guys have been posting pics of also happen to be hudge lard asses. So yeah. They kind of had it coming. I too can appreciate the humor of them being what you ridicule them for.

CNN sucks. Everyone knows it. You can find lots of info on what's happening in Texas from less sensationalized news sources.

You think shit hitting the fan in Texas is just a made up CNN headline...you have willfully put your head in the sand. Are you doing that because you are scared or are you just anxious?
Sorry, bud. Shit is not hitting the fan here, or in Florida. Funny how the media loves to focus in on Texas and Florida (due to Republican leadership) when the truth is ACCORDING TO THE CDC, as of right now, both states land squarely in the middle of the pack.
Oh, but you and the media have nothing to say about Louisiana (who IS getting walloped) right now? Huh. Oh yeah. No coincidence they have a Democrat governor, so nothing to see there, huh?

Florida has one the highest rates of vaccinations for the most vulnerable demos, the elderly. News is so focused on COVID "rates" as opposed to deaths per million, which paints a very different picture.

Florida's vaccine rates are likely elevated by ‘vaccine tourism,’ tourists, and snowbirds making rates appear higher than they really are. Zip codes in touristy areas, for example, have vax rates as high as 144%.

FWIW I've seen coverage of Louisiana's Covid rates and in case anyone is unaware, LA recently had the highest (large population) cases per capita in the world followed by Botswana and Florida.

Also, there is much less testing than the previous major wave so numbers are probably understated.

Can you please show me how the death rates in Florida paint a different picture.

Lard ass is synonymous with "from Texas". I challenge you to find a white person over 25 in Texas that isn't pre-diabetic or obese. Of course, maybe being vaccinated would have helped give them more time to start exercising before they were killed by a virus?

"Texas and Florida are not doing poorly"

Then why are they asking for outside help?

And Louisiana doing poorly does not mean that Texas and Florida are doing great and are not having problems. Can you hold more than one idea at a time in your conscious thought?

I'm sure the hospitals in Texas are relieved to hear that other states are doing worse - that must give them a lot of solace.

By the way - hospitals get overwhelmed by *cases* - not by deaths. The fact that this is news to you is hilarious but also sad.

First of all I've heard plenty about Louisiana. Secondly, Florida is doing poorly by any measure. You want to talk only about deaths? Florida is currently third behind Louisiana and Arkansas for deaths per million over the last two weeks. Florida is #1 for hospitalizations. That ain't middle of the pack. Texas is doing a bit better, but still well above the national average for both those metrics.

Buster says we should take the high road and win their opinion through education. Montucky good faith posting here highlights his open mind and certainly isn't political shit posting.

It goes in waves with Austinucky...meaning, he gets the beat down for posting moronic poliass, dials it back a bit, claims it's all in fun (who doesn't love joking about people dying!), claims his middle of the road politically, says he gets his "news" from a ton of sources, just trying to challenge the libtards here, etc. etc. etc. asks a couple of not totally batshit crazy questions or makes a couple of benign statements...rinse and repeat.

Interesting that Austin is doing so poorly, it's super liberal compared to the rest of TX and from what I could Google, has a pretty high vax rate around 70% I suspect the surrounding rural areas have pretty low rates, though.

Yeah, I suspect a lot of folks are being trucked into Austin from out of the area and filling up ICU beds.

College town, big live music scene, tourists. Probably not a great combination right now.
