Well it’s about 40 miles away to the Canadian border, so makes sense.
I wish I could head up there.

Freedom units? Makes sense, it looks so calming and close to the border. Really missing the short drive down there.

Did you bring a ball and your driver Ben?
I still call it The Jake.
That last grand canyon shot is good
Did you do bright angel? Pretty sweet trail, was just on it a few weeks ago.
Stayed away from Bright Angel, but we did check out that Kolb photo studio. Those dudes were badass.
Hiked down to Ooh Ahh point.

^ as a kid growing up in the mid-70s in (very) rural South Carolina I remember seeing pictures like that and wondering if it was the moon or something, if that landscape really existed somewhere.

My teen kids interacting with each other and not on screens. I’ll count my family birthday present for all of us a success.
That is a strange photo. With the wood above looks like under someones home, but not that damn long???
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.
