Anyone who's ever driven in Ontario needs this. Not a soul around on a straight as an hour back road and night and the fuckers will tailgate even if you're doing 30kph over the limit. Only solution I found was to take the foot off the gas and coast until they got fed up and finally went around. And then they wouldn't do even close to 30 over. They would suddenly get a case of slowpoke-itis. Ok, I get it, you want me to break trail for deer and cops. At least have the decency to allow a proper following distance. Or are they too stupid to realize that they are going to end up in my trunk if I encounter a deer or a cop? Or maybe it was just the novelty of seeing a Vermont license plate? Take about 20% off the top there big shoots.

Since they sand the roads here in Montana with 3/4" drain rock a little fade onto the shoulder or center line will rooster tail a windshield and paint destroying barrage onto any tailgaters during the winter time.

I've come to despise them. They're all over the NYS thruway around here since I'm close to the border and they are in fact the worst habitual tailgaiters on the planet.

I drive fast on the Thruway and never drive in the passing lane unless I'm passing. These fuckers get right up on my ass as I'm doing 80 while passing someone.

I absolutely love taking my foot off the gas to piss them off...their hands usually go up in the air like Wtf and I laugh. I only pull that move if the right lane is crowded so they can't get by

This is my solution as well. I think that most of them are on their phone and not paying attention to their speed. I’ve had some slow all the way down to 25mph from 70 before they realize and go around. Twats

My grandfather routed a 3/4” copper tube from the center counsel out through a hole in the rear bumper. When a tailgater got to close, wouldn’t pass or let off he would drop steel ball bearings down it. Worked like a charm.

I've always been under the impression that most of those people aren't even aware their speed changes. I think you're ascribing far more rational, if douchey thought to them than they warrant.. I think they just get mad and insecure that someone could 'beat' them, so they go fast. Then they get scared and obstinate, 'no ones going to hurry me' so they go slow.
