The older I get, the faster I was.

Dee, if it makes your life easier, you can remove me from the invites. If i get my shit together and can ride again, then I'll ask to be added back on. Tom A

I refrained from posting some other pictures I found of girls wearing pom pom socks. I know it's TGR and all, but Sprocket Rockets seems a little... classier?

It’s no extra effort. It’s not like I have to type in all the names every week. I have distribution list set up, and just hit that. Zwift makes that part easy.

I think it's just the focus here on masochism and self-flagellation makes cheesecake less top of mind

They should have BMI as a parameter for maximum realistic depiction.

I think I might, just might, be able to make it tonight.

Anything I need to know prior? (I'm good with joining the meet up and other Zwift basics)

Communicate over Zwift Companion or something else?

Gotcha. So if I’m sensitive about my avatar’s skinny calves I have to do some sort of reverse weight doping. I’ll suffer more on the climbs but I’ll look good doing it.

Fuck yeah. Great point. Pickles, what is your sock height? Are you friend or enemy?

Yup, just the companion app. You will be good to go.

I’m 50/50 for tonight. Not sure my no-show socks will be out of the wash by then.

That was good fun. Thanks for letting me join. If it wasn't for the meetup, I might have skipped out on riding today and I'm glad I didn't. I'll save my days off for watching the snow fall this weekend.

    Zwift, TR, Sufferfest etc

Big ups to Benny Mac for finishing The Full PRL today! I saw him a bunch of times during the ride. I think he finished in 6 hours 14 minutes.
I finished it in 6:36. 3 water bottles, 3 electrolyte bottles, 3 bananas, 3 protein bars, 3 fig newton bars.
4 shirts changes and one bib change.
Socks stayed high all day long!
I calculated I’d finish in 6:20, but that was based off of 11 laps of London Loop. When I crossed the arch after lap 11 there was still 10km left. The course took you through town like parade procession to wave at everyone. That was a hard 10km, I was already done in my mind, and I didn’t want to wave at anyone.
Legs are feeling okay, but we will see what tomorrow brings, might not see ya guys in the TGR rides this week!

Big ups right back at you Dee. Was nice seeing a friendly face amongst the horde.

I’m feeling a bit crippled. The victory lap through town was definitely unnecessary.

Ate a big breakfast with eggs and cheese - went and watched one period of my wife playing hockey - now back home with bacon cheeseburger and poutine from the concession stand. I think this is what they mean in the training thread by “recovery”?

My goal was to keep a constant pace for 6.5hrs, I didn't have access to a spreadsheet, so I went old school with masking tape and sharpie on the top tube.
Marking down elapsed time as I passed the lap arch and doing the math to see my indivdual lap times. Anything to keep the mind active.

My actual spilts from Strava were actually pretty constant:

We really missed an opportunity to change the sock height slider on different laps to see if it made a measurable difference.
