Is it possible to see the chat in retrospect? I think someone mocked my socks when I first joined.
You had the same kit on as me except you had tall socks. I am anti tall socks. Everyone else is pro tall socks. Cause they are euro heathens.

Hence the sock comment. Not directed at you specifically.

Your socks were perfectly fine, full length and all the way up, just like mine!
It's these guys that make sick to my stomach:

That sock picture makes me want to gag. Tall socks or gtfo. Was 65* here so lunch ride in the sun was a must.

Will likely be spotty for Tuesday attendance if this weather keeps up.

Yep, I rode outside with my son earlier in the day and the wife continues to have APAC meetings, so my own availability will be limited.

You mean the dime bag that's under the carpet in the corner? I mean, I guess so. Is it going to taste like carpet?

    WTF with the tall socks?

First of all, I have outstanding ankles, and prefer to show them off. Secondly, those are best appreciated when they are tan. Thirdly, tall socks are way too close to cruise ship footwear. 4th, fashion can often be best pursued by seeing what the Dutch and Italians do and doing the opposite. 5th, in 5 years low socks will be the rage again, and I will have been first. 6th, while in mtn biking/cross tall socks keep dirt out of your feet, on the road they do literally nothing but reduce your aerodynamics and make you hotter than you need to be. 7th, you are not allowed to mention triathletes on TGR. 8th, if you need the splash of color that socks give you perhaps you should work on your personality instead.

    I could go on.

    Zwift, TR, Sufferfest etc

Am I the only one bridging the divide by having my sock length slider in the middle position?

The top 35% of the slider set your socks to max height.
    What does that tell you?
I think it’s Zwift saying you should run your socks at max height!

Ok, let's do this. Tell me what the fuck purpose the top 19cm of your socks serve? I'm baffled.

Remove anything that doesn't have a purpose (this is where you ask me to leave - that would be funny. And appropriate.)

Also, Dee's new avatar is outstanding. And appropriate.

    Aero benefits:
Rule 28, a UK-based manufacturer of aerodynamic clothing accessories, has released its latest aero sock.
Boldly, it claims they are “the fastest aero socks in the world” and could save you over 12 watts versus a standard pair of cycling socks.

If short/no socks were more aero the pros would not wear socks. If tall socks did not have an aero benefit the UCI would not regulate the height of them.

I really hope that ain’t a dude cuz those are nice!!! See the little scar too? Yeah. Yum. She can wear whatever socks she want. I got hooked on no socks long ago. Not a great solution, just A solution. Seem like everybody round here went to neon half-calf maybe for vis.

Downtube shifters are awesome but with 10 cogs out back let’s keep cadence right by shifting from the bars. That is if you care to keep up. Which I don’t and can’t.

That's what I saying last week on the Thursday group ride - clearly some riders had much bigger calves than me. It is a sock thing? Do they grow with your zwift level or maybe your FTP?

Sock slider, I'll be damned. Other than finding my high-viz jersey, I haven't really looked in the garage.
