honestly surprised the power wasn't out earlier as last reading available is 4am but these wind gusts > 100mph are usually Crustal's domain.

doubt it moved that much snow because of mucho saturation but betting on some massive tree carnage.

Lot 4 chainsaw party to clear the snowload exploded trees from last weekend and wind knockdown from last night?
The snow is a little “tight”

My real question is how big is the debris below International and into Dom/Eisfallen? Are we talking appliance sized, or just sportsball sized? Can i ice climb boulder on some of it?

New mask enforcement email states they will stop the lifts if people in line aren’t covering mouth and noses.

Mask up people or the fury of the lift line will reign vengeance down upon thee.

Ski on laps at Alpy tonight for Japril spring snow, even off groomed. Mega chunder off the cat track in Meister/Eisfallen/Dom. Some pretty impressive chunks. If it gets cold tonight, I expect it will be skiing fast tomorrow morning.

Concur it was great today! Good hot cheesey snow.
Do I detect a lot of anger flowing around this place? Kind of like a pubescent volatility, some angst, a lot of I'm-sixteen-and-angry-at-my-father syndrome?

    fuck that noise.

Creamy smooth corn today, very fun. Off piste no bueno. Took a stroll to source lake, volleyball sized debri most places and tree bomb carnage in the trees. Sun came out here and there and barley any lift lines.

Upped my tailgate game by adding a grate for cooking and glove drying.

Took the girls skiing mid day. 3 year old decided to have a meltdown of epic proportions. While carrying her kicking and screaming to the car she managed to kick me in the nuts with her ski boot right in front of 10 moms .
    The end.

What hurts worse? Breaking ski boots and tearing calf muscles or getting kicked in the nuts?

How bad is parking situation at Hyak with sled-mageddon? Tried to get there with one my littles a couple weeks ago and couldn’t even make it to exit off 90. Usually roll in later morning in previous seasons.

Guess my lazy game is no beuno this season. Might try and park at Silver Fir and do cross-over.

    Spring skiing!

They were checking for skis on cars today to go past lot one and it was awesome. I hope they do that tomorrow and every other weekend this winter. Maybe they can get that going at the yak too.

I'm not even going to try to go to Hyak on the weekends after my recent experience. That is the one disadvantage with littles ones - you just can't get the early start needed to clear the mess.

What they did at Alpental this weekend for parking was amazing and I thanked as many people as I could and complemented them on the policy. We always complain when shit isn't working so wanted to make a point to say thanks for that policy this weekend because it worked.

Today (Monday) The Summit set up a check point at the entrance to the Hyak lot - they had three employees stopping cars and turning away sledders. Made a huge difference!

I would pay an extra $20 on my season pass so they can permanently staff this job at the lots.

    Parking was like 2007 again.

That’s the most epic ski tale I’ve heard all week. Bravo!
