10 wins BMills. Feels weird to have a real team. Is it normal to smile after an NFL game? Do other team’s fans do this?

Congrats to my Browns friends. I knew it was going to be a Browns win as soon as I saw that stupid trick play on the first drive.
Jets fans on local sports talk radio are beside themselves this am. Hoody loves to stick it to the Jets, I was curious if he'd put in the 3rd string on the last game to give the Jets a win and knock them out of the Trevor sweepstakes. But now its not needed I guess.
The AFC championship path is going to be murder this year.

This seems to be the hot take everywhere "the Jets can't even lose correctly." Honestly, I don't get it. They definitely are terrible...even worse than the Eagles. BUT...these are professional athletes and professional staff. Whether it's a new contract, trying not to get fired, half-steppin can get you hurt, or just plain 'o pride I can't imagine those guys going out there every week (especially with the brutality that is football) and not doing their best to win.
Do players give up on coaches? Sure. But I just can't believe that once they step on the field they'd intentionally lose. Especially to get an unknown. Sure Trevor L. is a "can't miss"...but there's lots of guys selling auto insurance or real estate who are can't miss players.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.
I'm not sold on the Sam is not a good QB thing that's popular in Jetland. He played a really good game yesterday. I think he's been left to dangle in the wind by an inept coaching staff and organization. They have a boatload of high draft picks and cap space for next year. It's just been a constant Trevor is the next coming of Jesus thing here for a while. Some guy called into WFAN this am and said left his house after the game to go cry in his car.

I still call it The Jake.
I haven't seen enough of Darnold to know if he's good, but I agree on the shitty office. As far as T.Law....look at Andrew Luck. Was he a bust? Nope...not even close. He was as sure a thing as anybody and...where is he now. How about Burrow this year (and Herbert)...playing great doesn't = wins. Who knows what Burrow will come back as...my guess is he'll be the same...but look at Carson Wentz; that guy is (probably) done.
Just b/c he's got all the tools doesn't mean he'll lead the Jets (or Jags) or anyone else to the promised land. Even Jesus didn't last too long.

Agreed. The QB thing is a big piece, but not the only piece of the puzzle. I also think the J-E-T-S fans were thinking Trevor would be good bait for a good coach hire.

LOL, it's going to be Harbag. Doesn't matter who the QB is going to be.
Jags have any easy path to losing last two games, BUT.. I can see da Bears blowing their playoff spot with a loss to a 1-13 team. Jest still have a chance to see Trevor play his senior year rather than dive into that pile of steaming shit.
Wow, the Steelers suck tonight
Well, Steelers are going to go 11-5, I'm calling it now. Maybe I should just check in to the browns depression thread now.
Watching the Steelers lose to the Bengals is somehow very soothing to this dejected Pats fan
This is wonderful. And the good it does for all the Brownie crew is just a bonus.
Steelers are like last year's Pats. They hid their flaws while playing a cupcake schedule. But eventually the truth was revealed.
Don’t bungle this please.
So I just found this out. Assuming Pittsburgh loses tonight, and then loses to the Colts next week, and all the rest of the wild card teams win out, then the Steelers/Browns game next week goes like this our beloved Browns:
Win: win the division
Lose: no playoffs, go home.
Still 2:20 left in the game tonight though.
Regardless, I’m starting to get a bit concerned we will be the first 11-5 team to ever miss the playoffs.
Even worse. They don’t even get to be the best at being the worst.

Wait, without looking, if the Dolphins win out and the Browns win against the Jets but lose to the Squealers it’s go home time?

40 yards of offensive by halftime is Jets-like.
What the heck happened to the Pittsburghs?
