Agreed, I'm just getting used to sitting at the Adult table again and don't want to jinx it!

Running game is a concern do doubt, I think McD can scheme up enough pressure to make it work. Looking forward to seeing J Brown back in the mix and encouraged by Knox making some tough catches last night to make up for dropping six from his breadbasket.

EDIT to add: McD's calculated risk taking is a wild card too, likes to go for it on 4th.

They're playing aggressive, loose and having fun. I like our chances.

Mike Tomlin confirms that Mason Rudolph will start against the Browns on Sunday.

I like the added intrigue. Kudo's to Tomlin for spicing things up.

It would be fun to see Fitzmagic/tragic back at New Era Field this weekend but I guess we'll settle for Tuatime instead.

I love that Mitchell Trubisky has played just well enough of late to make the Chicago faithful consider keeping him around.

Well, this is a pleasant change for the better.

"The best job that anyone could have had in 2020 was to be the Bills punter. Through 15 games, the Bills have punted a league-low 37 times, which means Corey Bojorquez is basically being paid $20,000 per punt. I can think of a lot of things I would do for $20,000 and a punt a football is definitely one of them.

There have been three games this season where Bojorquez only punted once and one game where he didn't punt at all. The most amazing part of all this might be the fact that Josh Allen has somehow produced more touchdowns this year (43) than the Bills have punts (37)."

And as the resident Cam apologist, I would like to say this: 2015 was the realization of his potential and injuries and improper recovery have hindered his mechanics ever since. This is his first year healthy in a very long time and he has dealt with COVID and played with the absolute worst WRs in the league. I think many of the questionable decisions this year are attributable to COVID brain fog. Let's not forget, let's not forget, dude, that he played pretty damn well in the games prior to his being out.

Cameron Jerrell Newton is not done. The man is easily the most naturally gifted QB in his combination of size and ability to ever play the game and he still has many of those gifts.

The packers have 44 punts to 44 TDs right now, too.

    The way I see it:

No benefit whatsoever to start old man Ben. Tons of mindfuck by starting the Duck Hunter vs Myles plus media shithype.

Likely scenario is that if the Brownies win they face the Squealers in PIT next week anyway with a rested groper, er, QB.

From Tomlin's perspective, if he starts the groper and they lose, then he faces a week of questions about how shitty they are. If he benches them and they lose, it's cool, cause, you know, they're already in.

Do we actually think we can win? Vegas line now up to 10. I cannot process this.

I'm in the midst of my holiday bacchanal and doubling down on that with some grief-drinking so I feel completely qualified to state that, unequivocally, yes, I think we can win. At the very least we can surely assault Mason Rudolph some more if we don't.

If I move on to that third bottle and it changes my mind, I'll be sure to let y'all know.

Yeah wtf, didn't that line start at 6.5? MR3 gets a 3.5 point bump over Ben?

I wish I could help but you guys already know this. You shoulda beaten the Jets.

This is a wacky week to bet football. I won't touch any of these games though it's tempting to take the Jets and the points as I think the Pats have their bags packed to go home and rumor has it that Gase was fired internally yesterday so that might inspire the Jests.

Edit: I'll just save the money and buy a McRib instead.

At least you’ll feel like you got your money’s worth with the McRib.

My favorite CLE sports radio station was hilarious this morning. The hosts were defending Buffalo as kindred people, cut from the same cloth as Cleveland, and that if the Browns can’t win then they’d want to see Buffalo win.

Well, that did not sit right with the callers. Lots of Move to Pittsburgh already, your mom comments, and other well thought out arguments. I love it.

I think Erie, PA is where any skirmish between the three fan bases might begin. That city needs to be watched closely for any signs of trouble.

Funny story: A ways back, I happened to find myself in Youngstown, Ohio. We went to a friend of a friend of a friend's party kind of thing. Anyways, the house was a normal-looking 2 story, 3br 1.5ba midwestern house...but the basement stairs was where it began: one side black, one side brown.

Then the basement was literally divided in half: one side black-and yellow with everything Steelers; one side brown/orange...a shrine to the Browns. Even had some of the same stuff: a Steelers dart board on one side...a Brown's dart board on the other, etc. Even the bar was divided in color with each side having its own beer fridge.

They seemed happy with the arrangement; I just imagined it was DV incident waiting to happen.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Erie is also the last Chick Fil A heading east until the NYC metro. That alone could attract all three fan bases to the brawling point.

That's funny. My friend a Bills fan married a Steelers girl. His car has a Bills license plate frame and the wife has a Steelers.

In other news. I get on Bill a lot. Mainly because he's a dick. But I truly admire his ability to troll the Jets.

"Belichick went out of his way on Wednesday to compliment Gase on the job he has done coaching New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold.

“I know he’s getting good coaching and has a good system that works through the quarterback,” Belichick said, via Phil Perry of NBC Sports. “Adam’s always had an offensive system that’s really given quarterbacks all the tools they need to be successful. … I don’t think you could have anybody better coaching (Darnold) than where he’s at. He’s progressing as you’d expect he would.”

Darnold has thrown for 1,942 yards, eight touchdowns and nine interceptions in 11 games this season. His 72.3 passer rating is the worst mark of his three-year NFL career. "

It's like Benny working the ECRC. In a way.
