An upstater isn’t all that different from a masshole but he doesn’t feel the need to tell you where he’s from every five minutes.

good clip, though, Benny. He’s funny

Albany has a nice modern highway to Boston. Always been a strong connection. Plenty of Red Sox fans upstate.

They claim 1200 vert. I had no idea. It’s a long drive but I might check it out this year since VT doesn’t want me

I live 30 mins from Bristol Mt. It's a reasonably fun hill. Better than a punch in the nuts.

I think The Wall is still closed so the avy threat level is still set to green.

Nonetheless, grab your studfinders and get after it safely boys.

Bristol is a nice resort, a bit more vertical than some of the other Western NY resorts, but the little town closest to it Canandaigua, NY is no Ellicottville when it comes to things to do, restaurants, and all...

I've been to the area but don't think I even realized there was a ski area there. No, not much of a ski town is it but NY has a few like that.

They have a pretty good freestyle program there--a couple kids from Bristol are on US mogul team. Its a weird hill. Really flat up top so you have to skate --uphill in one section--bottom has a bit of pitch eventually. Bad flow. Always seem to have half the trails closed off. Oh and the 1980's called and want their ski patrol jackets back.

Yeah for as long as I can remember HV Freestyle (WOOT!) and Bristol have been rivals in how many USST members they could crank out.

They should have bribed that patroller with a case of Labatt and call it good.

When you don't want to drive to VT or the 'Daks, Bristol is a fun hill.
There isn't much variety, but it has fast, steep lifts and you can rack up a ton of vertical.
