    I'm done asking Wegmans questions.

Now I know how reporters feel at a Bill Belichick press conference.

I can see it now - TGR crashes and we're all coming up for air on the Wegmans chat site?

Not a bad rallying point. It seems to be largely unmanned.

We’ve got a Wegmans in Boston Area; it is a pretty solid supermarket!

I feel I've been remiss in that I have not mentioned a critical upstate food item in this thread and we are 39 pages in. Hoffman's mustard. Simply the single best mustard in the world.

    That is all.

Edit: and I'm ignoring the Bandini post below. For obvious reasons.

Upstate and downstate. All of NY goes into those two general buckets. Feel free to argue where that line goes - I'm standing my ground on I-84. Upstate and downstate are further broken apart into separate regions.
Yes, I thought this was covered early on. Arguments range from Rockland to I84 N. Everything north of that is upstate. North country, CNY, WNY, Fingerlakes, Catskills are all just names to make upstaters feel better about living in upstate NY.

When Wegmans opened up their Syracuse branch years ago it was technically east of 81. Still west of 481 though. I'm guessing they don't want to have to drive through Utica to get to their stores.

He got fired by an owner who couldn't make money in a league that prints it every day of the year. I hope he landed on his feet somewhere.

It's the one thing that can bring a comfort to the long suffering Cleveland sports fan while enduring another gut-wrenching episode in the stadium.

Some say it possesses even healing, nay, magical, powers.

You would think, after 2000 years of being blamed for the plague to the destruction of the Reich, that, if you're going to go whole hog Ortho, then you would be cool about it. But, nope, history rhymes. Rockland has seen similar fucked up political maneuvers.

The sign from their Latham location is currently my avatar on NYSB. I’ve had a lot of Teds this summer. My dad and his in-home aide both like it so every time I visited recently I picked it up.

That’s correct. Still a big time fishing area. It’s also where I get off 17 when I take the southern route to Plattekill. The diners still there too.

I’ve been passing this place for 40 years- what started as a fascination with wtf is going on in there to threatening to stop and get dinner for the kids to me actually becoming a regular, family if you will? The plates are sturdy the manager is right out of footloose and it’s definitely fresh cod out of the canal.

Hmmm. That is a very strong argument you make, my friend. It's been quite a while since I had that. Maybe I'll send you some Hoffman's and we can taste test. I might need to get someone to send me some Bertman. It is fantastic.

I've had Hoffman's, it's very good. It's just not as good as the Original Stadium Mustard.

Great, now I want to go grill up some brats just as conduit for mustard.

If we have to choose a highway as the dividing line, I think 287 would be more likely

So now you are placing Mawah, NJ in upstate NY?
