I was just about to say those Chinette plates look substantially stronger than that earlier posted garbage plate.
Makes a big difference under the weight of all that fish I'm sure.

Never liked Ted's. Bob and Rons on Central Ave was (and probably still is) far better.
Buffalo is Upstate AF.
I love a fish fry and would totally be down to try Ted's.
The self-designated food critic on Yelp seems to love the joint. But to add to our confusion, he calls this the Capital Region. WTF?
Also, "clams casino" has always made me laugh for some reason.

22 people found that review funny. What sort of humor passes for funny in the Capital District?
I'm convinced the fish in question is carp.

I'm still giggling at "clams casino", so maybe that?
Kinda reminded me of that lady who reviewed the new Olive Garden in Grand Forks, ND: Long-Awaited Olive Garden Receives Warm Welcome

The Capitol region, an area around Albany, is a subset of upstate, as is the Mohawk Valley and the Adirondack Park. Buffalo is Ohio. Or Canada, I'll allow either. Calling it Western New York is fine, as long as you are using that as a subset of either Ohio or Canada. This was decided earlier in the the thread and is not open for discussion. Plus it's accurate.
I dunno about upstate NY, but Appalachia, both as a mountain range and a socio-economic phenomenon, runs right through VT. We even have Banjo and Fiddle Contests. Paddle faster if you are on the Wild Branch.
I'll buy that Buffalo is Ohio.
You find a lot of the same people in both locations, except there's more hockey in Buffalo. They share a lake, a love of foods that will keep you insulated through never ending winters, beer, bocce ball and sub-par professional football. It snows like a motherfucker, and is grey for nearly 300 days of the year.
This checks out.

We're going in circles boys.
Upstate and downstate. All of NY goes into those two general buckets. Feel free to argue where that line goes - I'm standing my ground on I-84. Upstate and downstate are further broken apart into separate regions.
Don't try lumping Buffalo in with Ohio, we've got the great buffer community of Erie PA to separate us.
Erie PA exists solely to house the last Chick Fil A on the way to Ellicottville NY from Ohio.
