I drive a big three diesel truck as well. No shame in it as long as you keep your political views off your bumper.

No apologies necessary and I completely agree. Anyone who could take this:

Neither of those companies have sold cars in the US for years.

I remember that catchy commercial for the Isuzu Amigo back in the late 90's.

The Rodeo and Trooper seemed to be everywhere back then.

I borrowed an Amigo for an afternoon from a friend back in the day. It was actually fun to drive. I have no idea how they held up for the long haul. My drivers ed class used a K car. That was the most unnatural feeling slow poke of a vehicle I ever drove.

Some sorority girl in college I dated drove one. She took the top off one sunny afternoon at a big lake party and after getting loaded decided she wanted to bog it in a nearby field tossing the keys to me and my friends. It was stupid fun and I think she left that trip with about 50 lbs of Kentucky mud on the interior.

Is that a euphemism? If so, impressive.

No shame as long as it’s not lifted and doesn’t have shitty aftermarket tires and wheels.

Hadn't thought that far into it... 80's most likely. There are some crusty looking units around here in bad shape. Not for sale though.

Among current models there are less genuinely shitty cars. The Fiat 500 L is among them.
God, what a steaming pile of crap. The seats are horrendous, it handles like shit, the engine is weak and noisy, the manual gearbox sucks, the suspension is stiff on bumpy roads and wallows on every turn. Oh, and the radio blows.
I’ve rented one for a few days, it was miserable. And I’m the kind of driver that can find some positive in an Opel Astra.
    It’s kind of cute, though.

^^^ The Opel Astra and all its magnificence was available in the US as a Saturn.

So for all of you who complain that we don't get the cool Euro cars here, go buy that one!

Plus, Saturns look as new as the day they popped out of the injection mold.

    Underneath, maybe not so much.

Today in Vegas news, a woman was shot and killed in a road rage incident. She was driving a Nissan and was eventually T boned by a Dodge.

It's not clear that the Dodge was involved in her death though, or if she drove away after being shot by some maniac and careened into the Dodge's path.

People are shit, but I couldn't help but think of this thread.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues
