You waited a month for this post?

    ISBD lives close enough already.

    Ikon Pass

Have we started a thread to try to figure out which area will be the best for declaring home resort to maximize refund chances? Or is that in this thread?

I'm going to do something really wacky: I'm going to designate the place I ski at the most as my home resort.

No way! That sounds reasonable, you need more drama involved in your choice.
I am choosing my home resort of the bush because I think Vermont will be one of the first states to "lock it down" if things go awry.

Lack of help will be troubling for most resorts. The last of the Jay Peak J1 workers just got back to Peru last week. And the bush won't have the 110 J1's they had last year. I saw more J1 lift operators last season than ever before and a couple of local employees said they were separate for help and would hire anyone who showed up sober and awake.
I've heard a few rumors floating around but nothing concrete about what will be open this winter.

I guess the first tracks you'll see in the morning will be on the liftie's arms.

    Fair, but disappointingly drama free.

I’m usually fairly evenly split among maybe 4 places, hence the question. Wanted to see what people are thinking.

Totally get it. And depending on one's ski plans, picking the "right" resort as a home mountain, or letting them use the "all mountains" approach, might make sense. But if there's a kids race season, I'll be at Eldora once a week, and much as I might want to ski elsewhere more, it won't happen. Unless Eldora is forced to close. Which will be weird, it will suck if it closes and it probably means I'm at greater risk of covid, but OTOH it might mean I get to ski other places more AND get some $ back.

I cannot remember the last time you said something funny.
    But that is awesome.
I reserve the right to use that this winter. If we ski.

Benny, it’s going to be a tough year for you. Unless your county gets things under control no skiing at Killington without quarantining for 14 days, guess you won’t be able to view all those “fresh tracks!”

You think Vermont ski hills can afford to even open without people like me? What, like Vermonters are going to be the bread and butter? Most don't even ski.

who are people like you? are out of your fucking mind insulting and making quips about people that want to get to work and see the ski season go on for the benefit of all. as a skier you should not be a member of a ski forum.

that is a shame on you. you are in the procession of shame.

^ dude saying people will not survive , without people like him? wow

i'd like to not degenerate anyone,

i got news for you. people that suffer, live in the cold, have always survived.

you are not a skier if you constantly call out people that you claim to or want to be near the same tribe,

    and when shit gets real.
