That's a nice addition if the border opens, or if nothing opens and we have to roll things over to 21/22.

Haven't they essentially been bankrupt for a while?

I think Rossland residents are going to savor this winter more than average.

For a while. But Mr. Sunshine’s right.
Yanks make the bull wheels turn, especially at Red.

That's irrelevant, the place has good bones.

I've heard it's lovely with a fresh foot or two.

It’s not really irrelevant. It’s a great hill, that’s barely held on in the good times. Now, 50% of your customers and 2nd home owners can’t come.

The hill may survive or gets sold in bankruptcy court. But what about all the little vendors, restaurants and hotels, relying on the US tourists. This will hurt them for a long time.

Meh, Red is where a maggot introduced me to the saying, "there's no such thing as bad snow, only shitty skiers."

Great fall line skiing there, lots of sustained vert.

I would contend that a place with lots of good fall line skiing but without a lot of traversing has too many lifts.

    There are.

But it's nice to hear you read about it somewhere.

Well, thanks for clarifying that. I always figured red would suck with a fresh foot or two

Well, I'd say it applies more to Alpine Meadows.

I always figured Alpine has the right amount of lifts. Plenty of traversing or hiking.

Squaw has (or at least used to) more than it needs, with top stations all over the place.

Yeah, I meant Alpine in a good way. Still plenty of traversing at Squaw these days, especially since they removed Cornice II.

That doesn't keep folks from complaining about Oly not running on busy days.

I miss C2. Nice option when HW and Sibo are shut by weather.
Hope they're planning to run Squaw One instead of the Funi this winter.
