What a POS. And this is coming from someone whose first ever memory of any vehicle was the family car, a gen 1 bronco. 74 to be specific. Dad had guys at the plant weld plates in the floor so my sister and I wouldn't fall through the holes in the floor. Lap sraps over our guts and kid seats and my head still hit the roof.

This might be one of those wait til the third year cars. If everything works the way they claim, I think Ford just set the turnkey standard. The SA would be cool but they made up for it with other good stuff.

2 dr Base model with 35s / Sasquatch pkg seems pretty legit.

The original had clean lines, nice form follows function vibe like a Landrover. The new one seems to retain that.

I can do 20x more with my '87 pickup with a corp 14 bolt detroit in the rear and a dana 60 posi up front for your interest payment.

I also really like it. Though I actually might like the four door more than the two. Kind of seems to give off a modernized old Defender vibe as well as pulling on Bronco heritage.

WTF are you talking about? Frame mounted steel bumpers with anchor points and a winch mount available from Ford. Did the FJ come stock with 4.7s and 35s?

I'm going with the "like it, but can't afford more than the base model" crowd. I'm not very up to date on car pricing, but >$40K seems like a lot for this...but $40K also seems like a lot for a pickup (to me).

Exactly why I think this whole Bronco thing will last a few years then get canceled. The last recession (and gas prices) took out the FJ. This model is about 5 years too late.
