Nope, my money is on my state getting slapped now. Let the people getting tattoos, nails did, and bowling a frame or two have at it, what could go wrong?

Anyone who is not appalled by that is asleep or an idiot.
Of course it doesn't change the current deaths. But a flu season that kills 100k would be a footnote, and while we'll likely get there the top end is significantly lower than predictions from 30 days ago. This isn't the end of the world and hopefully will get Americans focused on those around them instead of the layers of fear, bullshit, politics and religion proxied on us.

He's making backroom deals. Something is going on. No records are being kept. Why did Cuomo travel to the WH to just chat? Why not the phone? Because Trump pulled a Putin. Mano y Mano in a quiet room. God knows what happened, but Cuomo operates like that, too. Then he just flails in front of the media and they take the bait.

Even if you multiplied their known incidence by 10 (or hell by 25) to have a generous assumption of true incidence, it is a tiny fraction of the population. If they reach a herd immunity in a few weeks it would require exponential growth of disastrous proportions and would crush their economy, society, and health system.

Important to remember the antibodies take several weeks after symptom onset to generate so the reality is the antibody testing is reflecting the infection rate from 2-3 weeks ago. It makes the curve derivative more tangible IMHO

Do people really have money to spend on such things? I mean seriously. Open up all you want but are the customers going to be there to pay the salaries of employees? I don't think this will be one of those "build it and they will come" situations.

That's always been a head scratcher about ink on a lot of people I see. Isn't that pretty expensive, on top of the ugly?

Said that a few weeks ago when he last visited. I figured dump had kompromat on cuomo then. Looks like dump changed his tune a slight bit on testing and opening the economy and thru kemp under the bus. Maybe the kompromat is coming in the other direction. Lack of transparency isnt good though. Therell always be questions

My take is that it's ass-covering. When the open-it-up-now experiment that he's been actively encouraging blows up in Georgia's face, he gets to say "don't blame me, I was against it", while continuing to wink at his base.

Yeah, well. Maybe we won't reach those original high end numbers because we shut the entire country down. And maybe that was draconian and maybe it saved a lot of lives.

I wonder how many folks voting for a few 1000 more dead people to "save the economy" have seen a freshly dead body?

'“In major parts of Sweden, around Stockholm, we have reached a plateau (in new cases) and we’re already seeing the effect of herd immunity and in a few weeks’ time we’ll see even more of the effects of that. And in the rest of the country, the situation is stable,” Dr. Anders Tegnell, chief epidemiologist at Sweden’s Public Health Agency, told CNBC on Tuesday.'

I've watched more than a couple people die - held their hand, stood at their bed. Not something to relish.

Wrong. Antibodies in symptomatic people have been noted as early as day 1 onset of symptoms. Between day 1 and day 7 antibodies are seen in ~45% of people, by day 10 its 90% and by day 20 100% will be IgG positive.

Its why the testing algorithm works better with a rtPCR and a serology test in combo- occasionally in the early stage you can be rtPCR neg but serology pos, and most always these are converting rtPCR pos on later retesting.
Move upside and let the man go through...
