Yeah, we all know about those cases of a healthy younger person who covid knocked on their ass, BUT by and large the overwhelming amount of hospitalized patients had something else going on. Covid being the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak.

it's no question that people with other medical issues are getting hit extra hard when they get covid. The same thing happens to those people with any infection. People with obesity or heart disease or diabetes do worse from injuries from car accidents too. It's not rocket science that people like that are going to make up a larger percentage of the people needing to be hospitalised.

The way covid affects a person has been something new for the medical world to learn and sort out. But the fact that an infection is harder on someone with a chronic medical condition or is harder on a person the older they are is not something that has blindsided the experts.

So, since this was expected all along, what is the point people are trying to make by repeatedly bringing it up? Why not go the next step and tell us what you think society should do with this long understood information?

But California also acted more quickly than New York once it became clear that coronavirus was starting to spread in the US. The San Francisco Bay Area issued America’s first shelter-in-place order on March 16, and California Gov. Gavin Newsom issued a statewide stay-at-home order three days later.

New York, meanwhile, didn’t issue a statewide stay-at-home order until March 22. (New York City didn’t implement its own order beforehand; Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he didn’t believe it would work if only one city did it.)

The point of this article, that he was replying to, is that the young and strong are even more (by a large margin) likely to be asymptotic carriers than even Fauci was suggesting a few weeks ago.

If those were unarmed college kids protesting the war in Vietnam the National Guard would have gunned them down. Those are armed people on the steps of the state capitol. Why aren't they all in jail (or dead if they point those guns at someone)? I want my country back.

I have had a saltwater spa which I really liked. IMHO Chlorine ruins the experience of the pool and you get the cool saltwater hair although not nearly as bad as when you're surfing.
