Pretty sure most elementary school playgrounds had slides, swings and monkey bars back in the dark ages. And they were those nice, straight slides that seemed about 20' tall.

I was thinking that we played at home in our own yard running around, kicking balls, playing with green army guys in the sand box, plastic horses etc.

Oh we used to play with broken glass too - not kidding. We'd pick up broken bottles people threw out their car onto the road and smash them with rocks on the top of the corner fire hydrant until it resembled sugar. Kids! LOL!

My favorite was paratroopers. They had a chute that would deploy when you threw them and they would float, It was pretty cool

I had one of those. Asked my mom to buy it for me when I was around six or seven. She had no idea what it was all about and I had to show her how it worked. Too bad the little fucker didn't come with a bazooka.
