    It's such a bummer to have to use a flat roof to get the classic look of an adobe house.

    This tsv house I helped remodel and ended up living in had one small flat roof mixed with several pitched. As we're re-roofing it I'm just shaking my head...why stay with flat? Nutty.

    I live in an adobe place in the “historic district” - the flat roof thing is in the code. But once the reroofing’s done with the TPO it’ll be tits...for a while/knock on wood.

    I’m not ready for the old guy/condo thing yet.

    Wow, that's pretty cool it's in the code. Certainly my favorite style homes. Coming from the east with all the crown mouldings and tight sharp corners it was so refreshing to work on big fat rounded archways and corners. So flowy making for a comfortable feel. Then the vigas were the icing on the cake. Dig it.
