    Yikes.

I heard from a guy my uncle knows that this virus hates the sun. Let’s hope

I had just put my kids to bed and was texting my 70 year old parents (pops has asthma and mom high bp) and it just all crashed on me that if it keeps trending this way my kids may never see their grandparents again. That just opened the door to the hell we may all be in a month from now. I was able to snap out of it, but man this stuff is scary. I still have some hope that we can get this under control, but all these dumbfucks out there partying have got to stop.
I had a similar reaction last night. I'm pretty level headed, don't usually follow the pack when it comes to worrying about global events. I'm financially sound, don't have any family in high risk groups like seniors or otherwise compromised. I can hang out at home for months if I need to. I'm very lucky to be able to say that and I don't take that for granted.

But the fear and anxiety just hit me last night, hard. Got queasy, started dry heaving and puked a bit. Nerves are shot. Besides the fear of not knowing what happens next, I don't know why it hit me out of the blue so hard.

I went to bed around 1 am, tossed and turned until about 7 am. Managed to sleep an hour after that, and that's when the dream I mentioned happened.

Another swing and a miss. Your BA is around 240. Descent fielder, but you would be batting last in the order chief.

my understanding is this first part of the testing is to make sure the vaccine doesn't enhance the virus, which is why they use healthy, rather than infected people. They probably have to test and retest them first to make sure they're negative.

    and there's this
But even if these initial safety tests go well, it could still take up to 18 months for any potential vaccine to become available for the public.

The wife’s yoga studio put this out which made me smack my forehead. Jack Farless, or someone like him said the virus doesn’t like heat so come breathe heavily in a hot room with other people!

    What could go wrong?

Updated just now. Death rate in the US is holding steady on prior trajectory. I think this is a super-positive sign. No one really understands why we're doing better than Italy or Spain at the moment but I can already hear the theories flying.

What is the purpose of 'days since tenth death'?
And what the fuck is up with the scale on the vertical axis?

But if you look at the median age of the countries there seems to be a positive correlation, with Iran being the main outlier.

Don't disagree, but given the fact that there's significant momentum to curb mass gatherings, it's hard to see how the slope changes in the US. Obviously that says nothing about when the curve plateaus.

Y-axis is log so that exponential growth can appear linear. it's a good way to understand trends in exponential data. Not sure about the days since 10th death although it's probably just a way to clean out some of the noise in the data and conform to minimum on the log plot.

It's kinda boring working from home. You wanna do this again tomorrow, same time and place?
