I wouldn’t expect any significant sales, but if you keep an eye on https://www.skiburger.com/ you might get lucky with a blem or demo

With that ski being on Preorder I doubt many will be on sale from Moment. If you get a blister membership you get 10 percent off so basically you can get the membership for free if that is appealing.

Might have a lead on a pair mounted with Jesters - I think after adjusting the binding to fit my shorter BSL I'd be at +1 from the line. This wouldn't change things too drastically, right?

Moment doesn’t generally do sales on their skis, and that model/length is probably the least likely to stick around long enough to go on sale in the spring/summer at a 3rd party dealer. Pull the trigger now and don’t look back.

I’ve got a buddy skiing his at +1 and every other sentence out of his mouth is how much he loves then. I know a lot of the Moment athletes go 1-2cm forward of the line too since they’re of the flippy spinny variety

I'm been at +2 for awhile now and have no regrets.

You should plug your gape hole right now.

I almost grabbed for them yesterday, but, alas, I did not. In retrospect I should have done. Maybe in two days time, when next I ride. Or tomorrow. Fack.

I have WC108 tours that I ski at +3 from rec. -3 from center and I absolutely fucking love them there. I havent skied any other mounts on them yet but probably wont move them. I have been skiing them inbounds a lot and have come to love the playfulness in all conditions, even have some park days on them hitting rails and jumps and they crush it. I ski switch a fair bit and come from a park skiing background and also have almost everything in my quiver mounted at or near center so take what I say with a grain of salt.

    Question Wildcat 108 184 v. 190

I currently own the WC 190s and Blizzard Rustler 10 180s, and I was looking at the WC108 184s as a middle quiver ski.

I've seen some posts here about the WC 108's skiing short, but according to the stats the 184s still have a 22 turning radius. Any thoughts?

This seems like a good place to ask this: I bought my 8 year old daughter some Carsons (121cm) on closeout at the end of last season. What's the edge and base bevels so I can tune them?

Mounted the WCT108 with some ATK FR14s. Took them out in the resort on saturday, they absolutely RIP. Stunned by this setup, looking forward to ripping around more on these.

Bibbys are now for resort and travel ski use... cause the ATK/WCT108 combo rips downhill, even for small days.

Whether a ski skis short or long doesn't really have anything to do with turn radius, it's just how the ski feels for its listed length... often depending on the amount of tail / tip rocker.

I equate skiing short to a little quicker to turn and less stable at speed because there is less base contact.

Anyway, I'm curious how the WC 108s would fit between my WC 190s and my Rustler 10 180s if anyone has any insight.

I agree with this, especially not being a traditional carver. I am really digging the WC108 in 184. but going to switch up to the 190. Probably selling the 184s.

I’ve got Wildcat 108’s in 190, but can’t comment on whether they ski short yet or not. Haven’t gotten out on them with the anemic conditions we have right now on Mt. Hood... Will post comments once I’ve skied them, tho they’re closer in actual length to my old Kartel 98’s (186) than they are to my Caylor’s (191). The rocker is also closer to the Kartel, but the Wildcats have WAY more camber. I can’t wait to ride them, the mount point is a little further back than the Kartel’s and I anticipate they’re exactly what I’ve been after in a DD. Hope it snows, the rain today really sucked.

Why is that? Is it the widest ski in your quiver (ie your dedicated powder ski)?

I’ve mainly skied the normal wildcat in 184cm vs 190cm.

I think the reasons to go 184cm are:
You want something super nimble and/or want to work on bigger tricks.

You are less than 5’9” or 150 lbs.

You are not a great skier and don’t tend to ski the fall line.

The 190cm wildcat is still a really ‘easy’ ski that doesn’t require a big rider. You give up a lot stability with the 184cm. The 190 wildcat 108 will still feel a lot quicker due to the narrower profile and shorter turn radius.

No this is my DD. I am switching for the same exact reasons Tailwind posted. I want a little more stability vs. nimble feel. Either way you will love the ski, most do.

Thank you both, this is helpful.

I am neither of those things Tailwind mentioned, and I do find my Wildcat 190s to be "easy" to ski in all conditions, except the trees. They are just too beefy for the tight pine trees here in CO, which my 180s are perfect for. Just wanted something in the middle to give me the best of both worlds.

Sounds like I should go for the WC 108 in 190s.

Last winter when I picked ours up from the factory was told they were good to go.

At Alpine Meadows the next morning - my daughter and I both found that the wax they used felt really sticky in the fresh snow.

Gave them a hot scrape & wax and they have been perfect ever since.

Have kept the edges at 1/1
