It finally snowed in the San Juan's and eastern Utah. Right in time for my White Rim bike trip...

Keystone skiied great today, found a pretty good powder stash traversing through some trees off of Prospector on North peak. Won't let me post picture links unfortunately

Saw the same thing. Someone in marketing is Tokin’ the reefers...I was up there Thursday and it never really snowed.

It always cracks me up when people fall for the hype that is a bit of early snow.

"You know, it hasn't snowed in about a month, in way 55 and raining two days ago, this 2" is just gonna make the trails muddy."
"But it, is ski season! I gotta bitch about something, I can't believe that such and such isn't open!"
Don't you worry, you can still wreck yourself.

Snow is pretty good where protected from wind. Still very thin. New snow is not bonded to old in sunny spots.

    Pow day in my yard.

Any Wolf Creek locals that can report what's open with more specifics than the mostly useless website? I'm considering coming down to stimulate your economy on turkey day, depending on what terrain is actually open/likely to open.

You'd be better off coming to Aspen. A bunch of terrain will open soon and there's ton's of $59 tickets floating around if you don't want to blow your Ikon's.

I was up yesterday stuck to the groomers. Things are still a little thin for the trees. They did blast the shit out of the place so i think they will get things open pretty quick after these next storms. I am heading up shortly. My take from yesterday is it will take the next couple of days to be full on.. Regarding wolf creek

No idea what is going to open but I am leaving Friday morning from the metro to ski Wolf Creek. Hoping its deep. Any idea on whether I should drive up Friday morning or push that up to Thursday evening?

I got a few laps in west Arvada by leyden rock. Short and flat but pretty fun for a neighborhood jaunt and no base damage whatsoever.
