Nice snowpack description: 10-12" new snow in past 48 hours on junk
If there aren't some really major fuck up's these next few days, I will be absolutely shocked. Things are teed up perfectly- timing, existing snowpack, new loading from weather and wind, terrain openings, powder fever, etc.
I hope you guys are wrong but yeah

NOAA sure thinks this will be a mega storm system for the weekend. Up to two feet in Summit County?!
Yeah, there's going to be some slides.....
The initial period of moderate snowfall is expected to continue through Friday morning with a possible decrease Friday afternoon and evening. A second
wave of moisture is then expected to arrive by Saturday which will keep the snow machine running into Sunday. Snowfall accumulations
by Friday afternoon could be 12 to 18 inches. Additional accumulations over the weekend could amount to another foot, or more.
Vail is skiing great today. Got somewhat tracked out quickly, can’t see shit either most of the time. Heavier snow covering stuff up well
Chose a good day to come back to CO [emoji108]

I can verify that the jane was pretty special today. Be careful in the trees. 609s have been kicking ass and give us what we want but it is still early season. Early season terrain opening, by patrol or otherwise are some of the best.

Not sure all that opened, was basically lapping C chair until about 12:30 when my first powder day legs just gave out. But just about everything from the Gauge south to Cannonball was getting opened, never made it over to Trestle.
this is all very good news, looking forward to a day of storm skiing at MJ.
I'd better leave now.
Breck's elevation kept the snow blower today. Not even that busy either. Heard lots of wind holds at Keystone, etc but surprisingly almost no wind here (when obviously breck is always one of the windest places). Just silly deep when they opened peak 10 for the first time this season.
About 15" from the latest storm and steady 30-40 mph winds in the Indian Peaks yesterday. I'd avoid avy terrain altogether today.
