I mostly travel with 2 kids too so it just feels like more space. The camper was and still is awesome just a little expansion.

4WC on Tacoma is the answer I was hoping for. And yes I would love not having to do the icy walk of shame.

Icy walk of shame.....couldnt have said it better myself.

If it was just me and my dog...the fwc would be perfect forever and someday I will go back to that setup....but the sprinter is awesome now.

Yeah, good score for a cheap, light ski camper. Mine is a '93 as well.

Almost worth it just for the jacks!

I got 19-21 on the freeway with no camper.

    With camper, I get

    12mpg at 70mph
    14mpg at 60mph
    15mpg + from 45-55mph

    Mine weighs 3400 though.

    2017 6.7 motor, stock

I get 15mpg all day at 75 with my little Bigfoot not it doesn’t have a skirt. I think that “wind brake” makes a noticeable difference.

Beautiful. Were you happy with the process at Sportsmobile? Did you buy the van through them or find another elsewhere? thanks for sharing!

Overall happy with the process. I bought the van through them and did the whole deal that way. If you're going to do it that's the way because it's backed by Mercedes warranty and transferred to a RV title.

Had a few delays in the process but build quality is amazing. Looked at a few stock models but none seat 4 and sleep 4 so we went custom build to meet our requirements. In the end that extra cost is only incremental.

pm me if you want details on who to talk to over there.

This is one of the biggest reasons/benefits to go with a van. I absolutely love my 4x4 Sprinter and can't wait to ski/camp in it this winter. I have a diesel espar heater as well and have not used it yet but they are supposed to work really well and are very efficient.

I think there are three of them on my street alone.
