Bit of a tech question. Ive got a pretty simple 12v solar setup in my truck, mostly Renogy components. 100ah Lithium battery, two 100w panels and a 30amp DC-DC charger with MPPT controller so it can charge off the alternator.

Would like to add capability to recharge using shore power as well. Any recommendations for AC to DC chargers?

I am looking at the Victron smart ip65 charger. https://www.victronenergy.com/charge...t-ip65-charger Seems like it should plug into my system pretty easily.

You want a battery charger that has a Lithium mode and it also needs to be fully automatic, enabling it to shut off when the battery is fully charged and then turn itself back on when the battery starts to get depleted.

My Progressive Dynamics lead acid charger has boost charge rate, regular charge rate, maintainance charge rate and with the Charge Wizard option has an anti sulfaction kick every 24 hours. They have many similiar options for Lithium and are very highly rated.

That reminded me, I have a smart charger for my dual sport moto that has a lithium mode. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...sku_id=1142386

This charger is compatible with LiFePO4 but dammit, the manual says to only use it on batteries up to 40Ah. The one in my truck is of course 100Ah.

So I ordered the Victron. They have a number of models of that IP65 I linked above. I got the one rated at 12V/10A which is recommended for up to 100Ah batteries. FWIW, West Marine had 12% back on ActiveJunky.

Vanlife crew: Anyone ever drop your tank to mount up or alter your seating arrangement? I have a triple that's going in a cargo van secured to some L-track with class 8 hardware and 3/16 backer plates, but I don't know how much clearance for protruding bolts there is between body and tank. Aside from the filler neck any other cruxes?

Actually no need to fully remove the tank. We remove the rear 2 or 3 straps holding the tank and loosen the front one. Lower the back end of the tank 8” or so and you can easily get hands/sockets etc up in there to work the hardware.

Any one replace the old foam in their seats? I have a [emoji638][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]] year old van with the electric folding bench seat/bed and the foam is so soft it’s like sitting on the springs.
Looking for recommendations on what foam to use and where to buy.

You can buy replacement foam for car seats for a lot of makes/models -- some of the most common are even on Amazon. If it's only partly crushed (but it sounds like yours is worse) -- you can remove the upholstery and steam the foam back into shape. It won't last as long as a fresh replacement, but it doesn't cost anything to try. Use a clothes steamer.

I've used these guys before. They will even cut it for your exact application:

I think that would appeal to 1974 bush, not modern enough for current taste.

Hey anyone interested in buying two 100 Ah Battle Born lithiums? Mine are less than 4 yrs old, work great, but I’m currently designing a 600 Ah system that’ll support DC air conditioning so (sadly) need to sell these. https://battlebornbatteries.com/prod...cycle-battery/

I may have some Victron electronics to sell as well, not sure yet.
