Have you seen a one armed man around here?
I ate at chabaar once and got a 4, I can eat lots and lots of spicy food, and it was too hot.
I am a dumb white guy.
sigless.
NACHOS
Where does one find the best nachos in SLC?
not exactly slc but the nachos at the silver fork lodge up in bcc (last time I was there anyway) consisted of a giant cookie sheet absolutely covered in nachos for a pretty reasonable price. that’s my vote if it’s still on the menu.
I got the sumo bowl (non ramen) and dont regret it. Wife loves garlic ramen. Never been to jinya
They have a noodle machine and make fresh noodles a couple times daily. Good shit.
Now if you want really real deal ramen in an authentic setting then try it at Japan Sage Market on Kensington and Main. The potstickers are devine.

The pulled pork nachos at Hogs Wallow are unique and not to be missed!
Samuel L. Jackson as Jules Winnfield: Oh, I'm sorry. Did I break your concentration?
Brisket nachos at hog wallow even better![]()
Ate at the Everest Curry Kitchen again...such a great location for traveling through. Had a lamb Nepali dish that was amazing.
Observation:
9 other customers..,4 man-buns.
That is an unacceptable ratio.
Forum Cross Pollinator, gratuitously strident
Our recent dirty little secret has been Potstickers Plus 1 on 7th east about 92nd south Fkn hole in the wall with good eats and customer service too. Owner has degree in biophysics and was jamming w the wyf on sciencey stuff.
My wife knows the family that owns Everest. Really good people and good indian foods manbun ratio nonwithstanding.
Hires Big H on ft union has legit milkshakes and burgers. Driven past it a brazillion times finally pulled in. Will be back for sure

Have an old friend I haven’t seen in close to 25 years (old roommate, called and texted occasionally) coming to visit in a couple weeks. I asked what he wanted to do while here. The only thing he said was get some good southern BBQ. I told him SLC is probably not the place for that, but I’d see what I could dig up.
Any recommendations?
Probably prefer something downtown and north. We will be going to stay at the cabin at Bear Lake and skiing Beaver Mtn.
Could drive south a bit if there something worth the trip. (SugarHouse BBQ??)
He’s coming from Winnipeg. Maybe they have less there then SLC. Guess I could put ribs or a pork butt on my pellet smoker
I'd rather die while I'm living then live while I'm dead
Sugarhouse BBQ or R&R are both good IMO. There is an R&R downtown close to the freeway. But yeah, not as good as actual Southern BBQ.
