Yeah, I think it's going to suit a lot of skiers.

IIRC the rest of last season’s skis went on sale after the last k108 was sold.

Kartel108s in the more popular sizes are usually a ski they run out of or just have a few of for the sale - aka running out, or running short is what triggered the sale last year. I think k108s is ON3Ps most selling ski being hugely popular.

I would be very, very surprised if The Woodsman - aka the tweener 2020 model - or any of the new 2020 skis has any kind of sale when released late march/early april.

That being said, with lots of folks probably wanting Woodsmans to replace Kartels for slightly more directional skiers, finding a good deal on k108s shouldn't be impossible.
Good info, thanks. I searched quickly but couldn't ascertain if it was the same time every year, looks like I need to jump on Kartels before that or buy used after, although still plenty in stock looks like.

All of the C&D Stoke was too much to handle - picked up JDadour's 2016-17 pair of 191s.

Curious how much the offset taper changes how they ski (comparing to 2017-18 191s)?

Thanks for buying those. I had to convince myself another mount wasn't worth it.

The pair you have is really similar to the current billy goat. 17/18 has more exaggerated offset taper, to my knowledge.

And yeah - thanks for grabbing those. Was seriously tempted to purchase and A/B with my 18/19s.

Which were sooooo dope in 12” at Stevens today.

Is karl fostvedt not skiing for ON3P anymore? I didn't recognize his skis at the King and Queens of Corbets (live feed on facebook) today.

Does this mean a renaming of the Kartel lineup? Not that I really care, I just like ON3P skis and thought Karl brought a lot of exposure for them.

edit: closer viewing shows maybe some K2s...

ON3P has some good product placement on the official poster or whatever. Don't know who the skier is.

Huh. He’s not in the athlete roster on the website. Interesting

This was covered I think on NS. Long and short, Karl and ON3P have a great relationship. New opportunities for Karl came up. The ski will continue to be named the Kartel.

He left to promote the K2 mindbender series. They are really trying to rebrand themselves with this ski.

    For clarity:

Karl has moved on. His call in the end, but we have other team members requiring similar support now, so we just couldn't offer what we used to. We made an offer for 2019, but also knew others could beat it. Obviously he didn't take our offer, though to be honest, we're still not really sure exactly what happened.

Name is changing - not because we have to (our brand, most don't know it's even named after him, and we stopped selling it as a "promodel" almost 3 years ago for various reasons), but because it feels right to reset and we were already talking about bringing the Jeffrey brand back in 2021.

No hard feelings - just business. We're appreciate the years of hard work he put in and hope to see him take the next step in his career, whomever that is with (K2 seems to be the one, but we're basing that on social media like everyone else).

It's opened up an opportunity for us to go after some new talent we've had our eye's on, so expect to see some new faces over the next year.
Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

I'm just glad that we were able to come to terms on a contract stating that this would be the only ski you use for the next decade.

I'll have you know that my resume include multiple nastar podiums which were left off my VHS submission inadvertently. Haven't heard back from you guys, but figure you're just ironing out the offer details

I was just glad someone finally made a ski TGR has been asking for. You guys are going to sell TONS of that ski. Like 30 pairs.

Guys, I think it's time to come clean. ON3P is now going to sponsor me. My first signature ski is going to be 195cm long, 120 underfoot, stiff as fuck with 2 sheets of metal... and it will be called "The Bump Ski."

Pretty much sums it up right here...I wish Karl the best.

(I am no longer Team Manager for ON3P, but I became close with a lot of the athletes and this is the best move for both parties)
You should have been here yesterday!

Can I get it in a 117 underfoot?
But Ellen kicks ass - if she had a beard it would be much more haggard. -Jer

Had a full run of Billy Goats at Stevens today. They owned the deep pow and resulting deep troughs. So fun, so capable, the perfect PNW rip stick.

I was on my stock layup SuperGoats. I love my asym 189’s but today the SG’s were perfect.
