Mine are asym but a 193 which says yes.

They feel pretty stout but are actually lighter than the 191 goats

Yes, they went from PowTron to SierraSkier to me and then I passed them on... and so on. Ha, they've really made the rounds. Those things are rocket ships that may destroy any small children in your path!

Hopefully it's deep enough this weekend to whip out the dozers.

Just got on my first pair of ON3P. Picked up some 191 BGs with veneer top sheet from Bandit Man. Took them out at Alpental tonight while it was dumping. These were just what I've been looking for. Used to ski 192 Bent Chetlers and loved their playfulness, but hated how they folded if things got bumpy or heavy. The BGs slayed tonight in the cut up 10" we had. Could drive them through anything and pivoted easy. Sold some 196 Protest and feel the BG shape and flex is better suited for my skiing.

Was wondering who was gonna nab those.

I felt the same way when I made the same transition.

    ON3P SKIS Discussion

After skiing a few days on my 186 k116s with Attack demos I’m pretty confident I prefer them -1.5 to -2 (someone was asking before), especially in heavier or deeper snow. Ski great in anything soft, I like having more ski in front of me, and the tail releases easier in many snow. If you ski a lot of hardpack the line is a little better suited for that. Overall has a decent sized sweet spot

    Thanks!

I've been working up the nerve to ask Scott about recommended mounting point for my type of skiing (mainly directional, though I hope to improve my switch game) and how my k116s are built, so feedback from other users is much appreciated - especially as these hopefully will see a ton of coastal fresh. I do realize that they have designed the skis to be mounted on the line, and that might work very well indeed. Then again I am no Karl, so it might be that a slight rear bias might work better for me. Time will tell.

I too have been contemplating going back a bit - like one to two centimeters. As I plan to mount them with Shifts the toe will not be adjustable at all without a remount - though to be fair, with the adjustment range in the rear a re-mount up front is not going to be a huge issue. I'd rather mount them and leave them be though, so this info was very useful.

Another great day on Mt Hood on the C&D’s!!! Chased lots of fresh lines, trucked through the cut-up like it was nothin’ and generally had an f-ing blast.

The wife her took her BG’s out for another try. She figured them out more than last time and was able to turn them in the light fresh snow. She discovered how nice few cleanly linked turns in soft fresh snow feels, though she’s still not confident on the BG’s. Her comments today were “these things are tanks” and “they weigh a ton.” She’s going to keep giving them a shot, but I fear they’re just too much ski for her. If she pulls the ripcord, a super-nice pair of 179 BG Tours might end up on GS soon.

It’s my opinion that she should learn to ski pow well on a more traditional ski. Putting her on goats may not have the desired effect. While the goats are not difficult to ski I could see them being difficult to figure out for a newb who’s still figuring out how to ski pow.

I would just hang the goats on the wall for a while. When she’s ready for them, they’ll be there.

Day 2 confirmed that I made the right move. Handled everything Alpy brought (deep powder, ice, avy debris, soft groom) and left me wishing I didn't need to take my kids home.

I could be quite interested if she decides they’re not working out

Crazy stiff and huge rocker is a sweet combo.

What ON3P am I looking for as a regular day/spring touring ski? 95-105 underfoot 185-190 needs to hold an edge in scary windfucked icy entrances. Does not need to ski powder super well I have kusalas for those days.
But Ellen kicks ass - if she had a beard it would be much more haggard. -Jer

    Serious answer: Blizzard ZeroG 108.

Otherwise, 189 Wren 96 in a custom touring layup is kind of the best option from ON3P. Kind of long and skinny, but falls into your specs. ON3P run long compared to other brands, so the 184 might be long enough.

Not looking for a light ski. I’m just about done with light skis for touring. Looking for about 9-9.5 pounds for a pair

well then the Wrenegade would be the best choice from ON3P. 96 or 108 in either the 184 or 189. Stock layup gets you in that range in the 96, though the 108 is closer to 10#.

Can someone refresh my memory on the what/when annual ON3P sale? I want some 108 Kartels, or possibly whatever the new Kartel/Wren tweener ski is.

To wait for ON3Ps with metal would perhaps be your best bet, but then again - metal + tour layup might not be an option. ON3Ps are not fantastic on ice imo, though I have a feeling that the addition of metal will remedy that.

i dunno - late march? If you go back to that time of year last year in this thread then you might get a more accurate pointer.

Kartel108s in the more popular sizes are usually a ski they run out of or just have a few of for the sale - aka running out, or running short is what triggered the sale last year. I think k108s is ON3Ps most selling ski being hugely popular.

I would be very, very surprised if The Woodsman - aka the tweener 2020 model - or any of the new 2020 skis has any kind of sale when released late march/early april.

That being said, with lots of folks probably wanting Woodsmans to replace Kartels for slightly more directional skiers, finding a good deal on k108s shouldn't be impossible.
