One of the grocery stores around here doesn’t have self checkout. Which seems like a feature, except they make you bag your own shit. For some reason self checkout where I bag my own shit feels fine, but if there’s a cashier there making me bag my own groceries feels kinda like washing my own dishes at a restaurant.
    focus.

We have a really annoying lady that works the self scan area sometimes. She hovers over you telling you how to operate the damn thing even though I’ve been using them since they installed them 15 years ago. If I wanted to talk to someone I would have just gone to the regular cashier.

Parrots. This place is full of them.

Ontrac continues to drive around Reno with my packages and fail to deliver, claiming weather issues, for the sixth consecutive day.

    Fuckers.

    OnTrac sux, very true.
But Mt.Rose Hwy has had some kinda chain controls for like all but one day this past week. Might actually have been all week.

What we have here is an intelligence failure. You may be familiar with staring directly at that when shaving. .

Yes! I think you are 100 percent correct. I had this same thought, but two days ago.

I prefer to bag my own at the regular checkout. I want to get out of there as fast as possible. And one of the best things about Truckee is the wonderful reusable shopping bags the PUD gives out for free.
I don't think our safeway has any choice but to have self checkouts. They can't hire enough people--too expensive to live here. The PO can's even manage to deliver mail some days for lack of employees.

I was into that thought before anyone had heard of them.

Frozen water pipes at work on Monday, frozen pipes at SAR HQ today, and the little princess with what appears to be scarlet fever (after getting through the strep throat period her friends were in earlier in the year). So much for getting out for a Brappp! under cold sun today It’s been 3 or 4 years since we had it this cool, how soon we get soft to it.

Ha, I've been known to clear an ice-crusted wiper blade while driving slowly in a blizzard. But I'm a professional.
And that's why you get the snow off your roof.

That would appear to be an Ontarian in its home range rather than a touron.

Rookie. Everyone knows if you're not going to clear the snow off the roof, you gotta floor the car once out of your driveway to let it fly off. Careful to make sure you don't slosh it all over the shoveled drive of course

I ordered something online from a company doing a promotion for free shipping.. but the cheapest.

I ordered this Wednesday morning and I really wanted it by the weekend, (Sunday) although it wasn't crucial.

I picked priority mail which is suppose to be 3 to 4 days and payed 20 dollars for it over free shipping.

The tracking kept not updating even though they said it was shipped.

Today it is finally showing a delivery day... Febuary 22! That's a lot longer than 3 to 4 days. It also says it was shipped the economy way...not priority that I paid for.

I guess I call them monday?
