    Thoughts on new C&D vs last year model? Looking for a ski to replace my Atomic Atlas and prior to that Big Dumps. A little nervous this year C&D have touring layup. I only ski resort and don’t want to compromise. Been thinking SuperGoats possibly, however I have always liked 120 plus skis for where I ski in Utah and part of our mountain has some lower angle terrain that 120 plus maintain speed because float so well. However I could be convinced otherwise.

    Yeah...you don’t need more layup.
    Ski is perfect the way it is.

    They used to make it that way. That ski kind of sucked and was incredibly difficult to ski.

    I’m 165#. But I think bigger people than me would agree.

    Tour layup sacrifices nothing with these skis. I’ve been riding them resort only and they’ve handled everything I’ve thrown at them. I find them especially nice on the low-angle stuff. Last year’s probably won’t be as great in the resort with the extended rocker, whereas this year’s are like a fat Billy Goat yet still different and fun.

    Fwiw, I greatly preferred the Atlas (192) in the second gen, lighter layup, always in all ways. And I didn’t think I would. Ymmv.

    Haven’t skied a ski like that in a few years, but the C&D seems like the modern equivalent to me.

So based on design alone (without skiing either) it has to be the Wren IMO.
    BG =/= Supergoat < Aevergoat

    Supergoat can charge.

    First sorry. This thread is just too huge to go back through. Kartel 96, would appreciate thoughts as a playful everyday/day after it’s snowed kind of ski? Have the Kartel 116 and skinnier skis, looking to replace Scott P4 in the middle.

    Always loved my 192 Atlas, and agree I liked the lighter layup in later years. Just worry all the companies getting too aggressive with light skis.
    That is exactly what I was thinking with C&D as an updated Atlas. That is what I am hoping. Skied goats once and still craved something wider and a bit stiffer. Convincing myself the C&D are it.

    I use my K98’s for the role you’re describing, so I’d think the 96 would be equally as capable.

    hm, interesting wrt w108t being a stronger hard snow ski than the more hard snow tilted w88. Just imagine how amazing a pair of w98ts will be

    You are probably tracking, but luckily Iggy&crew still have both in stock;
    - SG in stiff with the awe inspiring wren98 graphic ( I think they look awesome 5/7 perfect score) https://shop.on3pskis.com/products/s...=7704735055902
    - C&Ds: https://shop.on3pskis.com/products/2019-cease-desist

    The 189 in C&D is the final one of the year, so miss out now and you're having to either go custom or wait for next season. Aka, now is a great time to stop resisting and start following your cravings for some new pow slayers

    And yes, the C&D has been constructed using the Tour layup for at least four years now, if their catalogues can be trusted (found on issuu.com) so I am thinking things will be a ok. Still a lot of material

    Errr!!! I am well aware of the SuperGoats and last pair of C&D.

    I like the longer length of SuperGoats and stiffer layup, and may sound like a girl but also like the graphics better.

    However, I really like the wider demension of the C&D. Also I have not heard any complaints of the flex of C&D. Is the C & D just a wider goat? Will it be stiff enough? I am one of the few who like a stiff powder ski.

    When you're skiing really deep pow - even Sierra Cement - you don't want an extremely stiff ski in the first place, especially in the tips as they won't plane as well. Tour layup for C&D's makes sense. They're still ON3P's so going to be plenty stiff anyway.

    To be honest, I am surprised that the wren98 SG is the last to sell. That was probably a tie for their best graphic last year (I really love the C&D design too). It looks phenomenal!

    Obviously, having tried neither I cannot really chime in on how they ski. Also, if you want a charger a w114 might be the ticket as well

    Some Cease & Desist stoke from this morning. Was sooooo good and so worth it. Signs said 9-inches, felt like more. Got my turns in and bailed at 11:00am to pretend to work.

    Just post the link on its own and the forum will convert it. It may not show up like that to you at first, but it works, and when you come back after a while you'll see it. It's strange.

    Little cross post action, but for those asking...MINT OG 191 CAYLORS with Dukes (I used to be stronger, haha) are up for sale. Have about 6 total days on them.

    (X post from pnw thread)

    Finally got Bandit Jr out on his 174 goats. He loves them and was ripping on them today. Here we are in all of our fanboydom repping the PNW with the homegrown “magic skis”.

    Can anyone post up some bg rocker pics? Website says 'freeride rocker' which is the same description the wrens have, but looking at my wrens it seems like it'd be a lot of camber underfoot for a designated pow board?

    You are a good Dad BM and no doubt BM Jr has to be stoked... Plus you have great taste in skis/bindings... Leaving for my first trip in a couple of weeks and my 193 SGs will be in the bag...Click image for larger version.

    Last year’s 189 BG...camber is next to nothing. Rocker is about perfect.
