Common sense. So rare today in America it's almost like having a superpower.
nice! Good that folks are putting up some action shots to help mitigate the longing for those of us who are unable to ski!![]()
Has anyone heard any updated on the metal wrenegades or know if this is still happening?

hah, figured as much with yo being all coy in the quiver thread
metal wrens sure must be dampLuckily I am happy as can be with my current ones. Not that the stock ones are soft, but does the metal make them stiffer wrt twisting forces? Or asked differently, does the metal improve their hard snow abilities somewhat?
They are the best ON3P for hard snow and ice ever built.
You should have been here yesterday!
Only one day on my 17/18 season Billy Goats but they seem to be tuned perfectly from the factory. Can't imagine people being unhappy with them out of the wrapper. Maybe I got lucky with a good factory detune or I'm just used to sharper hooky skis and these are just loose in comparison or maybe I'll notice more in heavier snow. So far I don't think they need any additional detune though.

That is pretty interesting!
How much weight does the metal add, or is the increase in stiffness negated for with a thinner core making the overall weight gain negliable? Not that weight is the end all be all - it is not, especially for resort skis, but still kinda interesting. Does your w114 sport titanal as well?
I think if you're wanting to add metal to a Wren you would probably welcome the extra weight for resort skiing. I would be curious to know if they have other core changes to offset the metal though.
Sounds awesome![]()
I am guessing news on the metal project will get plenty of people exited
Mtbskibum - yeah, I fully get that weight is a good thing - especially for resort use - and that a lot of people want more and not less weight (even if feather weight skis is all the rage nowadays). However, it is all about balance, and "just" slapping on some titanal might not give the intended benefits. Both Blizzard, Volkl and Moment has done some very interesting things with both titanal and lightening up their skis of late, so it will be very interesting to see ON3P's approach to the material. I think it is going to be awesome.
And yes - just to put it out there - holy jeebus the graphics on wren96s is awesome! No wonder they are currently sold out(from ON3P's insta - I mean, hot damn! )

What's a chargier ski? Supergoats in aeverflex or 11 Wrens?
the uniass is pretty awesome too
It should be made into an uniass meets gryphon - so some lion hind legs, eagle claws in the front and some wings. #instantnewgrizzlycornclassic
General question:
I have some current year 190 Bibby’s that I like... but they get kicked around to much skiing fast on variable run outs. I think I notice the lighter weight of the current crop.
Can anyone comment on the overall stability of a 189 Wren 114 (or 108) in variable snow in comparison to the Bibby? I know the shape itself will Ski a bit different also.
The BG is a chargy pow/soft chop ski but not what I would consider a true charger. Hard to compare a pin tail, tapered tip, with lots of rocker front and rear pow ski to an old school square tailed, strong tip true charger IMO. So based on design alone (without skiing either) it has to be the Wren IMO.
I own the 184 bibby and have skied the 184 wren 114. The wren 114 is a much more stable ski than the bibby. The bibby is more maneuverable and a quicker ski but the wren 114 blows it out of the water when it comes to stability. Honestly I wish I had bought the Wren 114 over the bibby. Another ski to look at if you want a stable soft snow ski is the blizzard bodacious. It doesn't float as well as the wren or bibby but it is one hell of a crud buster.
