People that bump HOF threads. Some things should be preserved. There's some serious sacrilege going on right now. Lock that shit down. These ARE the droids you're looking for!

Yesterday afternoon, and within just a couple weeks of the last incident, some a-hole in yet another jacked up Ferd Effteenhundred brozoder backed up into me AGAIN. This time I was sitting in my nicely parked vehicle, wrapping up a phone call, when I saw some guy backing up, backing up, backing up, and bam. Drove off like nothing happened. Same exact corner of my vehicle too (WTF?!) Got out and the person parked next to me witnessed what happened and was yelling at the guy to stop. Told me he saw the truck driver looking down at his phone, texting the entire time he was backing up and drove away. Never averted his gaze from his phone. Thankfully this time my vehicle only suffered some cosmetic damage and not a smashed out tail light light the last time, so I didn't do anything about it, but seriously?! What the hell is up with these douchenozzles in their trucks so big they obviously don't see anything or feel anything as they mow everything over in their path. I was in a 4x4 Trailblazer too, so it's not like I'm in some little low car that's easy to miss. Drivers in these jacked up rides are apparently just 100% oblivious to their surroundings. I'm starting to get pissed.

That does it. I'm shopping for a dual dash cam now...

Grown-ass adults in their 40s - and even 50s - setting off m-80s from 10:30 to 12:30 last night. And this isn't in the hillbilly hills, it's right in town.

Yes. That's why I speak with authority on the subject. Because I own one. It's been quite good for when it was useful in the deep snow when I lived and worked in the mountains. Fantastic snow driving capability and general off-roadiness. Now that I live in the city again, it's pretty pointless. Gets crap gas mileage. Rides like a truck. It's a retarded vehicle to have in an urban environment and I can't wait to get rid of it. Selling it to an oilfield worker I know who wants it the second I can save up enough for a replacement, which will be a beater econo car for now. Although last month I DID get my use out of it when I had to do some pretty legit off-roading on a oil well site I had to visit, where I had to run it through the thorny brush and rugged landscape in the West Texas desert. Something pretty much no soccer mom or parking lot queen shiny new brodozer will ever do.

On the plus side, it's been good for when idiot truck drivers back into my vehicle and replacement parts are dirt cheap and an extra ding or scratch doesn't put me into fits of rage. Thus why I want another beater. That way I won't murder a lifted truck owner the next time they run into me without even noticing.

But yeah. I always have and still maintain that SUVs are teh suck (for most cases). At least I used mine for what is what designed for and them some, but I still think they're pretty lame overall. Haha. Been totally consistent on that. Even if I regrettably own one. Can't wait to be done with it and get a proper city car once again.

Searched to see if there was a “shitheads that litter” thread, couldn’t find one so bumping this post.

Saw a piece on my local news about the cleanup in Times Square, something to the tune of 4 tons of trash left on the street, in 24 hours. WTF is wrong with people.

It seemed way worse than normal this year. One of my dogs was in a full on panic attack for about 3 hours. Then when she finally calmed down, she slept basically on top of me until about 8 am. And she is not a small dog by any means.

My dog couldn't care less about the fireworks, but there's a Bosnian family down the street who came here as refugees in the '90s that sure as fuck don't appreciate them. I had to be at work this morning at 5am, so I put in earplugs last night and slept through it all.

Yeah, Murphy isnt a hide under the table type. He has to be touching me and he was shaking so bad I couldn't sleep, either.

F#@&ing xmas week tourists who dont know what the big "Alternate Here" signs mean in a lift line maze.

Got an earful from a woman after I politely asked "Can we alternate please".
According to her I am a "disgusting human being"
Since civil discourse was apparently over I let her know what I really thought of her cutting the ski school line in the first place.

I find that many skiers don't understand the concept of alternating. It's not limited to Xmas week tourists, or even tourists in general.

They don't understand it or they choose not to. That's the question.

So people who tailgate has been mentioned a bunch of times in this thread. I can confirm it's even more annoying when you're in the offender's car. A friend offered to take a turn driving coming back from Phx yesterday. Twice in two hours he had to slam on the brakes because traffic up ahead slowed unexpectedly while he was following too close. The second time he stopped so close to the car ahead I was braced for impact and was shocked we didn't hit them. Then traffic starts moving again and he's right back on that car's bumper. I try to not backseat drive but finally told him to back off. He looked at me like I was crazy and said he was not following too close. WTF?? We had probably $15k in bikes hanging over the tailgate too. Final word was if you rear end someone in my truck you're going to be riding your bike home. It was a pretty quiet drive after that.

if he rear-ends someone in my truck he'll be walking home, so calm the fuck down and back off.

Or people not paying attention and missing their turn. I want to put my poles behind their bindings and push them forward like they were children.
