Huh. Got any other pictures?
That's the heel track, yeah? Both heels?
Looks like it.

Noooooo...thought it looked thin along those edges but wanted to believe it's good enough... didn't they learn from Marker Royal family heel failures along there?

Well..... new CAST looks titties. Sounds like stock is selling out though
Sample size, n = 1.
Need context & more pictures + more people using them for longer.
yeah sample size of 1 so I agree its early to be getting out the rope
SHIFT was out there last year so all the Salomon dealers had a setup,
the local dealer sold angle parking his demo setup
so after 50 days AP has not broken them and he fucks every thing up

10/4. Last post I saw they were saying get your order in as there wasn’t many more sets in their initial stock order. Wondering/hoping they replenish their stock throughout the winter. I like my v1’s but after a few years they’re getting sloppy. New version looks vastly improved in durability, weight and quicker change overs. I ve only toured 30-40 days on my v1’s but I’ve skied around 200 days on them
I have 110mm brakes that I am hoping to swap for some 120’s.
Anyone looking to go the opposite direction? I already tried the brake swap post.
Thanks pnw I do know him, it’s me!

I haven't skied the Shift yet but I own a pair and have mounted about 8-10 of them so far.
One thing that I noticed was when the toe-height on a tiny woman's alpine boot was adjusted correctly, it resulted in a "reverse ramp angle." In alpine mode the very bottom of the boot sole at the toe ended up being 3mm HIGHER than at the heel!
So, if you're running a small sized, purely alpine boot (one with tech inserts- of course), you can end up with your toe "pulling a wheelie."
This is troubling.

^ B&D could crank out some heel shims.
Hate to see the failure. Hoping to get some more info.
Huh - how does bsl affect the difference in both absolute (and not only angle) terms? (honest question, i do not understand how it would) I mean, 3mm is 3mm no matter what BSL you run, where BSL seemingly only would alter the angle of the ramp, not the ramp as measured in difference in height.
Is it down to sole characteristics on specific boot models or what? I just cannot for the life of me understand why putting the bindings closer together on the same mount pattern would increase the difference in height
