No chance, Russian fans would have slaughtered the Irish.

^^^ I guess they found out that they can't just autotune their way to a UFC title.

The whole post fight situation is much ado about nothing. Other than that red shirted dude who is a genuine POS, no one did anything that was that outrageous or that we have no't seen before.

As for the fight, Conor did better than a lot of people thought he would. He stayed calm when Khabib had him down and limited the damage. And across the 4 rounds, he had his chances standing. If you had told Conor before the fight that he would spend as much time standing as he got, he would have taken that deal for sure. Khabib wandered in recklessly at times, especially in the third but Conor's punches basically had no pop to them. I think Conor gassed. In a different way than the Diaz fights but he still gassed in the sense that his power was gone.

We all know from the skin track that there are dudes who are not necessarily the fastest or in the best shape but in hour 12 of that marathon tour, they'll still be moving and dealing with it while others who might be in 'better shape' are withering away. Call it genes or whatever, but Conor is just one of those dudes whose gas tank is naturally pretty weak. No amount of training is going to help him with that and he will be exploited for it for the rest of his career. Rope a dope style, everyone from now on will just bring him late into fights and finish or decision him.

That was the craziest fucking situation I’ve ever witnessed...angry drunk Irish & Russian dudes fighting, people throwing shit & just absolute pandemonium. The town was buzzing after the fight and the casinos were packed with drunken agitated fight fans lol. Partied until 6am then got on a plane at 11am, fuck me I feel like a bag of garbage 😵

The mele at the end really didn't bother me. This was one of the best cards I've seen, most of the fights were finishes, and even the decisions were hard fought and entertaining.

Now I want to see McGregor vs Ferguson; I expect that Tony would also wear him out, but it would be great to watch.

Conor McGregor has revealed he will make a "good, solid" eight-figure sum from fighting Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229....but, how much $$$ does he walk away with for losing ??

Yeah, sure he did. He had a chance to get knocked out. A chance to be humiliated. A chance to eat some shit. But a chance to win? No fucking way.

C'mon, man! Get off Mac's dick. Al Iaquinta lasted five rounds, at least. McTapper looked fucking awful. Where was the "Precision beats power, timing beats speed" McGregor? I didn't see him out there. That looked more like the "I just don't want to get humiliated on my way to cashing the next $50-100 million dollar check" McGregor that we met at the Mayweather superfight. New prediction: as long as there is always another huge payday waiting for McGregor, he will suck balls. His champion days are over. For now, "winning" McGregor style means waving the fat stacks that he extorts from a desperate UFC regardless of whatever happens in the fight.

Mac has now been paid somewhere around $160 million to lose three out of his last four fights. Not just to lose, mind you, but to get decisively finished. If that is not a fucked up incentive system, I don't know what is.

hmmmmm....sounds too soon...isn't D.C.'s hand still fucked? Well, i would guess his game plan would be to clinch, grapple and smother the Black Beast and exhaust him after a few minutes so maybe he doesn't need the hand to drop bombs on a concrete bomb shelter?

^exactly what I was thinking....and Lewis told Ariel Helwani that he broke his finger warming up before his fight with Volkov , plus he got the shit beat out of him for 14 minutes & 45 second lol

Why not give Stipe the immediate rematch?

Anyone catch John Kavanagh on Rogan yesterday? Great

What happened to Brock? Lewis is entertaining as fuck...behind a mic. But barring a one punch murder, Cormier absolutely mauls him.

Not that he wouldn't beat Brock...but Brock is a HUGE wrestler with massive athletic talent.

...or that Stipe fellow should at least get a chance to get knocked out again.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

that made me laugh out loud, well done sir

But yeah wtf happened to Brock? 100% agreed that Cormier takes Lewis down and mauls hims to death or worse gets him in a crucifix...but all Lewis needs to do is land one punch & its over. I just can't believe Diaz isn't fighting Porier, really disappointed in that one.

Brock needs to pass 6 months of USADA testing before he's allowed to fight again. If he's able to do that the fight between him and Cormier will happen in February.
