I tend to think a 2-3 ski quiver is all you need and occasionally get there.

Think and do slightly different. At 6 currently which I realize is modest by TGR standards. In theory I would assume most could survive with a dd and a pow board as a resort focused quiver. Not that one would actually want to.

There was a season where I had 2 pairs for inbounds (4frnt turbo and Billy goat) and a single touring setup (Quixote/vipec). Decisions were easy and there were only a few stupidly deep days I wanted something fatter than my Billy goat. Only toured a few days. No super long missions.

But who wants to show that sort of discipline?

FWIW, the 186 Jeffrey 110 and 191 BG have been my 2-ski inbounds quiver in CO for the past few seasons. I actually haven't skied the BGs much in CO, so the J110 has basically done it all for me inbounds. Haven't gotten bored yet.

*I own more inbounds skis, just didn’t ski them or have them in CO.

Is that your original pair of 191 veneers? Or is that the second pair?

OG. The back ups are still unmounted af my mom’s in Seattle. As well as the rest of my quiver. They’re even prettier than the pair pictured. I did recently bring those Piste Jibs to Denver but we’ll see if they even get mounted. I’ve been super happy with those two skis for CO.

Happy to help. I haven't skied a layup I like as much as ON3Ps veneer + 22 oz fiberglass. So damp and poppy. The funny thing is, I'm pretty sure it was an accident -- I think I may have gotten one of the first pairs of wood veneer before ON3P realized they should make the rest of the layup less burly to compensate for the added stiffness of the veneer. They're reasonably stiff and certainly not light, but amazing.

Edit: if you're interested in a stiffer-than-stock layup and aren't shy of some weight, you might consider asking Scott to build a wood veneer with 22 oz fiberglass instead of adding stiffness with extra carbon. My guess is wood veneer + 22 oz glass is similar in stiffness and weight to nylon topsheet + extra carbon but is quite a bit damper...but Scott's the expert on that. I just know the layup skis super well.

We laid up a 106 Vicik with bamboo top sheets and laser etched graphics when we were trialing veneers - every batch is slightly different but those fuckers flexed like a Wren on steroids. Wonder who has those now.

The K98’s have extra carbon and I chose the 22oz fiberglass, tho I don’t know if that’s how they were laid up or if the 19oz was used. At any rate, I got exactly the performance I was after w/ the veneer + extra carbon. The backbone of a directional charger w/ the fun of a twintip all mountain ski...

Scott, really like the ON3P snowboard. My wife wants one. Fully cambered, medium flex, 148 or so.

Those C&D’s really look good. Topsheet, sure, but also the sidecut/dims.

Scott didn’t make the snowboard... The good folks at Deviation did, they’re also in Portland.

I’m pretty impressed with them as well, both in look but very much so in dimensions. The asym looks like it works, and the edge length is the same on both sides. The weight is the most surprising part... they’re way lighter than I expected for a ski of its size. I can’t wait to ski them as I suspect they’re way more nimble than they look. There’s more tip in front of the bindings and the camber is oh so subtle, just a smidge really. Praying for deep days.

I’m in Seattle frequently for work. Hoping to ride Crystal and Alpental a few times this season. Maybe you can get a chance to check ‘em out...
