Before I read through the whole thread, maybe I can just ask:
Looking to replace my DHF on the rear of my bike. I love the traction (though it's starting to lose some grip from wear), but I feel like the rolling resistance is a bit too high. Want something that is somewhat similar but maybe rolls slightly better.
Running tubes (yeah yeah) and hate pinchflats, so needs to be a reasonably burly tire. Also, do a lot of high speed descending, so also needs to be burly to handle that.
26" (yeah yeah).
Colorado front range (if that matters)
Maybe in the 2.4" range? (the DHF was a 2.5, but those 2.5s are more like a 2.35)
Prefer Maxxis tires, but willing to consider others
