Sweet, thanks for the update! I know I could've just e-mailed you and asked of course, but I didn't want to bother you.

Hell yeah! Thanks for the update, Iggy! Now, time to figure out bindings to go with the Light Blue topsheet...

i understand this feeling completely. Especially since I’m spending the summer recovering from shoulder surgery to fix the mess I caused back in Feb. not being able to do other activities has me pining for the winter when I will be able to get back out there.

what setup did you go for on your C&D’s?

    mine:
    Light Blue topsheet
    Green sidewalls
    eh Ski - Sorry! Bases

    just wanted something totally different...

.. And something totally different you'll have, it sounds like. Sounds awesome, man!

I went with everything standard except for the skin clip tails. I was heavily debating green sidewalls, but I wasn't sure if it would be over the top with that pretty graphic standard 2019 topsheet of the C&D's. The C&D topsheets of last year and this year are kinda "metal", and that's probably why they appeal so much to me, hah. If I were to pick something else it would probably be garnet.

I'll probably be mounting mine with Shifts as I need them to be somewhat tourable.

Edit: And good luck with your recovery!

Thanks man, Doc says I’m healing up nicely.

Very cool setup, I did something really similar on my Billy Goats with Green sidewalls being the only custom option I chose. Really liked the 15/16 stock topsheet. I thought about doing the skin clip tail with the idea of using Shifts, but decided against it. Will probably save that setup for a new pair of Goats in the 19/20 season. Almost went veneer again, and after seeing some of the Instagram posts, kinda wish I had...

Love my Wren108's but have a hard time with them in firm, hudge bumps and trees. Still revert to my old skis for those conditions. Are there any ON3P's that would be better for these conditions? Skinny Kartels? Skinny Wren?

Agreed 100% on the 15/16 Goats. I have a fully stock pair and I think that topsheet is the best looking BG topsheet -- perhaps with the exception of this years', which looks really nice as well. ON3P has really nailed it with the 18/19 topsheets though, they all look awesome.

I can't wait to ski these things. The BG is my all-time favorite ski and the new C&D sounds like just the ticket for me on the biggest of days.

I’m hoping the new W96 works well in all firm conditions. Coral reef included. I’m going to try to demo the 189 96 this year. I really enjoyed how my old viciks and tychoons skied firm!

That being said, I thought the K108s skied firm very well for 108mm. Better than viciks. Felt more like a 98mm ski or more like the tychoons. But the k108s are stiffer than tychoons and maybe even have better grip. I thought the k108s skied firm better than Moment PB&Js (101mm) and almost as well as my shreditor 92s. I was really impressed with k108s versatility.

My K98’s w/ veneer and extra carbon eat up the firm and icy stuff. It’s why I had them setup the way they are... makes crusty, no-new-snow-in-weeks groomers a lot more fun. Took some extra detuning in the tips/tails w/ a gummi before they were perfect tho

So SICK! ...I would love a weight measurement from you, just "for science". I think some versions were heavy, and other versions were full-width carbon fiber.

    I'm curious how the numbers compare to my 195cm Gigawatt (135mm underfoot, measures 2762g, 195.8cm) & 195cm metal Kuro (132mm underfoot, measures 3065g, 192.7cm) & 189cm Pon2oon (135mm underfoot, measures 2582g, 188.6cm).

    .
    - TRADE your heavy PROTESTS for my lightweight version at this thread

Forthcoming! The first thing I wanted to do was weigh these, but my batteries went out on my electronic scale. Will keep ya posted.

These were the 12/13 model (2nd versions), and are supposed to have full width carbon, and slightly concave bases. In 13/14 they added RES, a little more effective edge, and assymetrical concavity. That model seems to be the holy grail!

Cant wait to hear your comparison between them and the C&Ds.

You are on fire right now building up your quiver with rad skis. All you need is Wren 114s now.

Is anything as fun as BGs? Save for high performance super cars or liter bikes on a race track, or experiencing the pinnacle of design in whatever sport your interested in..

I need more BG stoke this summer.

Hoping Iggy or someone chimes in with what the mount is supposed to be on these, or else I'm just gonna mount them dead center.

I think around -3 but....that was a long time ago. Let me try and find the actual mount.
Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

Further back than that. -6cm. I think 191 was -3.

Took some measurements and -6cm from center looks like its right in the sweet spot of the sidecut. Looks good, and will probably go with that unless you find something saying otherwise.

I came close to buying the 196 when the pre-sale thing was going on. Shrug, maybe I'll find a set one day for $75.
