Copper is a good mountain. I'd certainly prefer it over Loveland and over A-Basin unless everything at the Basin was in good shape.

Why would that shift this time of year? Copper has plenty of high elevation stuff that should be prime.

Looks like Monday is going to be pretty warm and Tuesday a little less so. I'd say A Basin Monday and Copper Tuesday when the lower elevation stuff at Copper will hopefully be in better shape.
A Basin is a really fun mountain to explore and skis well on warm days.

If it's warm on Monday and cool on Tuesday, why would you go to the lower altitude place on Tuesday? To increase your chances of skiing on refrozen snow?

Ah snowing again. No April fools.
Be aware usasa nationals are at Copper all week so although manageable, it is a bit more crowded than I am sure it usually is. Yesterday was my first day on the hill so not a huge sample but lines got a bit long late morning early afternoon but that was likely due to practice sessions happening all day, comps begin today. Solid conditions albeit a bit firm up high with nice corn mid down.
Lines on what lifts?

Low last night in Gunny was 47, so like 20 degrees warmer than Denver last night? Weird. Hartman's is totally open. I'll keep skiing til Memorial Day though.
Good to know ... Likely headed to the Basin on Tuesday. Joel shows 2-4 on Monday night, at least for A-basin.

Super fun morning skiing Silver Couloir. No bump skis needed. The wind worked wonders and it was filled in nicely. Moderate density powder up top and slightly mushy at the base. No crust until you hit the sun baked spot at the bottom. It warmed up fast and we experienced some rollerballs coming down the bottom choke as we were exiting.

Gusts over 90mph. Sweet! Time to go snowkiting.
Feels like summer in Denver. [emoji31]
Any decent storms systems on the horizon before resorts start closing down?
Patrol at Copper told me they had several 70mph+ gusts at the summit station.
